After such a long absence (at least it seemed so to me), the princess of character creation returns with an offering well worth the wait. Don't call it a comeback! And just when I happened to have 3D money left. Yup.

Benita was released at the end of July 2017. Yikes!!! What a break!
Lots of stuff happened in that break and I started, shelved and euthanised (read: took out the back and shot) a few projects in that time but yay, I finished something! :p
If anyone wants to know the names of any products used that I couldn't or didn't mention in my promos, please let me know - I will warn that some of the outfits are old Aeon Soul outfits that aren't for sale anymore (so sad...) I'm waiting to get asked about them. Haha!

I'm so glad you're back! I've been trying to learn Uchenna's ways. I noticed the Aeon Soul vine outfit, and I'm so glad I got it (and Shox-Design's texture add-ons) before it went bye-bye.
The character looks fantastic! and I admit that I am curious about the dress/sarong thingie in the last promo (the one with the adult and the child), but more than that I just find that image really well done!

This is a pleasant surpise and she's going into the cart for later tonight. I few weeks ago I found myself wondering if we'd see more. Even G8 updates for Nyari and Imari.
Last fall I told myself I had ehough characters, but a couple of recent introductions broke my will. It's nice seeing something very different and so well done.
Her skin and markings look amazing! Very nice work there. Which hair is it that the little girl is wearing in the last promo? That's my favorite promo of all of them. It looks amazing. I can't figure out which hair the little girl is wearing though.

Still sussing how best to light Uchenna.
She's pretty speccy! If you find she's a bit glossy in some lighting, just raise the Spec Roughness 1 and 2 a tad or lower the Dual Lobey-Lobe Specular Weight.
I think she looks good though! I'm appreciating her more, so thank you! XD
@Saiyaness: Thanks for the tips. Cranking the specular was a good choice for this dark skin. It's more natural than metallic flakes. Your skins emulate photography so well that they make my renders look like I halfway know what I'm doing.
She's another wonderful character, Saiyaness! Thank you for your work and artistry. I haven't worked with Gen8 yet so this may be a stupid question: how do you get the child version? Are you using one of the "Growing up" products or similar?
Yup. TwiztedMetal (also Renderosity) was the first I saw doing it, and it looks beautiful. But it doesn't look like regular, everyday people; (I hesitate to use the word "natural" in a negative connotation). And it shows up better on non-pink skins.
I have a render working. Uchenna is showing up as dark chocolate (rather than the milk chocolate of your promos), and I can't get the brows (even when adding others) to show up as coal black. I'll experiment more with the next one.
The only pronunciation I can find for "Uchenna" (via audio of a native Igbo speaker) is: oo CHIN nah

Uchenna looks like she would fit in nicely in the upcoming movie Black Panther, to be honest.
