I Hate the Marketing Department at Daz

Can we talk? I don't know about all of you, but some of us are getting a "GIMME10" promotion. Good only on Daz Originals that are not new, not PC+, etc.
I have spent TWO FRIKKEN HOURS and have yet to find ANYTHING the promotion is good for.
Can't we get a sort option that will only show items that a particular promotion is good for?
I appreciate you're trying to do good for some of your customers but I really hate you all right now. I will get over it tomorrow but this has been ongoing with all promotions, they are a pain in the butt and you lose points when trying to create goodwill. Please find a way that doesn't waste my time!

Under the Drop Down Menu on The Shop page check only 'DAZ Originals' and then only the ones with the bluegreen face may be bought with the GIMME-10 (NOT GIMME10) coupon and only if they don't have new written on the product icon. If there is a PC+ in purple or no blegreen face on the product icon then it is not eligible.
If would be nice if the store include a DAZ Originals minus PC+ products filter!
First: If you haven't already, find, download and install the Daz Deals plugin. With that, you can sort by % Off and filter to display only items in your wishlist, (among many, many useful things.)
Second: Start from this link: http://www.daz3d.com/daz-originals#filter_platClub=0&filter_new=0&filtered=1, which filters out new DOs and (nearly) all non-DO products, as well as the excluded PC+ products.
Third: Sort by % Off and look for products showing a 58% discount. Those products are DOs that are also in one of Featured Artist catalogs of the active promotions. {Adding any new release will increase that discount in your cart, too.)
Fourth: If nothing marked 58% off appeals to you, use the Daz Deals added checkbox to view only whats in your wishlist.
Fifth: You do not need more than one item in the cart to get the discount and If the cart is under $10 it will come up at 100% off.
As far as hating the marketing around here... Well... Join the club! LOL

Or, select Daz Originals, pick a Genre, pick a figure, then the two Daz Studio options under Software (unless you're looking for Bryce or Carrarrarra content). Then sort by Price High to Low, since the lowest price stuff will usually also be PC+. If you're shopping for G3 and G8, then it's most likely going to be mostly New Releases, so go for the G2 stuff.
Then go back and select a different figure.
There's 5 pages of Genesis 2 Male items this way. Sorted by Price High To Low, Page 1 is all the Bundles, Page 5 is all the PC+ stuff. Sort by Genre to get less stuff to sort through at one time.
Sensible Sorting Saves Sanity.
Try being one of the few who didn't even get the promo. :(
I wonder what happened with you guys? It almost feels like a mistake with no context of what triggered it in the promo.
Yeah, I put in a support ticket about it - in case it was a mistake. I hope it was and that they can do something to fix it. Would be nice not to be excluded.
Just wondering...
Are those not getting it in the PC+? Maybe it was something just for PC+ members???
It's the only thing I can think of...
...the Daz Deals FF plugin will not work above ver 43.0 which has seen an additional 13 updates (14 if you go to the new format that kills all plugins and add ons).
The second link is the better way to go.
Can't be right, I have it running in 57.0.3 right now.
...when I was taken to the thread in the first link there was a graphic that said it would not work with any version of FF higher than 43.0. Now I cannot find that post.
!
As Ati and Overdrawn are continually updating and adding features, it may have been the then new FF version 43 broke things, but if so, the guys got right on it and fixed it. I'm also running a newer verion of FF (56.0) on Windows 7 and the plugin is working as expected.
Daz never explains it's targeted offers, which is why the first rule of the Orange Banner Club is that you don't talk about the OBC..................however no one takes any notice of that rule, which is why we get threads like this.
Since shopping here, I’ve had my share of orange banner promos and been left out of several too. I do think there’s a spending correlation, though I can’t decipher whether it’s based on having spent a lot recently and is thus a reward or if it’s having spent a lot, but not in a while, and it’s an incentive to start spending again. Casinos in Las Vegas offer both types of promos.
In any event, much like with sales, “there’s always another promo.”
Sorry some people didn’t receive the banner this time around...I’ve missed out on the last few so I know the feeling.
This one and the recent $30 off both said "valid only for the intended recipient", so I presume it's only sent to specific accounts. However, like PDS said, is it sent to recent shoppers or to entice someone who hasn't shopped in a while? I blew a few hundred back in October, but my total purchases since then have been under $50, so it could go either way. Not to mention I've been a PC member since it was started, so maybe that's a factor?
I actually posted this comment in the wrong thread
It's not nice to feel left out, but it was for
10% off-which some of us shouldn't even consider getting out of bed for. ;-)Edit - oops, $10 off.
It was a straight $10 off instead of 10% off.
In regards to the original post, I was able to use mine first try, no hitches. After seeing it, I immediately went to my wishlist, looked at three DAZ Originals I had there, picked one and that was it. There is one thing that I have noticed, however, that might cause problems for some: the promo codes tend to be depicted as "something - number". If typed exactly as it appears, with spaces left on either side of the dash, it won't work, resulting in an invalid coupon code error. Instead, it must be typed "something-number", without the spaces.
Could be true. I spent a total of 10 dollars under the past 3 months. Nothing worth while to buy still even with the 10 dollars off promo.
Thanks, and my apologies. Have corrected the error above.
the promo was wonky for sure. Because i had one item in cart, and it took 5$ off it (made it free)
Added another item to cart, and it them only took 2 dollars off the original item. And then nothing off the second item.
I added a third item to cart, and again it did some wonkyness that made no sense (i was only getting about 5 off total split among the three items).
I removed the first two items and then the third one basically became free. (10 off)
strange programming.
yea..i just bought something I didnt need for $9.50 or somewhere around there and got it for $0.00 ... But free is free. all good. As any good DAZ customer, I tried to use it again, but it came up invalid. You never know about hidden deals around here.
http://www.daz3d.com/daz-originals#filter_platClub=0&p=1&order=price^-1&filtered=1
this is what I use to filter, I got it from a different thread. I also use it for the PC coupon.
Edit: oops, just saw someone else posted this.
Buy 2 New Getting Fit products and then you can probably find old DAZ Originals in the Featured Artists back catalog.... the max discounts and using the Orange Banner money off on old DAZ Originals and you can get a great deal....... assuming you want the 2 new products (Zev products are always worth the money and I got the leisure clothes too).... then I got a dforce dress and a texture set for only additional $.34. You just balance the money you can save vs the time you want to spend looking for bargains.
There actually aren't any inserted spaces around the dash; what's happening is that all the characters in the code are spaced out to fill the width of the dialog box it's displayed in. You can see it if you copy/paste the code.
Amen! It's nice getting free stuff...but even nicer if the company stays in business so we have this nice store and our IM downloads continue to work.
yes... there are not many shopping places left. I had to DL all my RDNA stuff ... not fun.
Well, I was not given the Official Rule (or Unspoken Rule) Handbook. LOL
