Iso a cheap external HDD for laptop

I got a laptop from Daddy for Christmas. It is an old discontinued model but it is 64 bit. I think I need an external HDD to hold all my Daz content. I rather shop from amazon.com as I have prime free shipping. I am on a budget at the moment. Or should I wait till February after I do my tax thing?
