What kind of crane (truck, tower,catepillar, etc?) Dreamland models has a great dock crane here at DAZ https://www.daz3d.com/warehouse-district-dock-crane, there are a half dozen free cranes of various types on ShareCG and Powerage has a low rez construction vehicle set at Renderosity that contains a catepillar type excavation crane... with any of those you could just parent a sphere to end of the cable. Or, if you want to get fancy, Dragonfly3d has a "Miley Cyrus" pose set called "Ball and Chain" at renderosity that includes the ball and chain as well as part of a brokenwall.
Those are all great suggestions, thanks! I'm wanting something that would work with Stonemason's City Ruins Building 2. I'll probably end up kitbashing pieces together to get what I'm looking for. End result would be a different take on the Major Arcana tarot card "The Tower".
