Photos as backgrounds

How do I use a jpg or png as a background? Somehow I got a photo into a background, but I don't remember how I did it... Senior moment again!

    Fave way is to put it onto a plane the same proportions as the photo or jpg.

    In what? DAZ Studio has Edit>Backdrop... to load an image.

    That's what I usually do too Richard but, depending on the background image, if you want shadows to fall on that background, then Cho's method would be better.
