Here is problem I really haven't faced yet. What do I do to create something outside of the windows in this render? I don't know if this calls for a background image or skydome or something else. If someone could please suggest a method and how to do it I would really appreciate it.
Thanks!

you can do either one
well that's nice to hear but I don't know how
Are you using 3DL or Iray?
Iray
There is no real background image feature in DAZ Studio as far as I know. (see Richards comment below)
But of course you can use Skydomes like this: https://www.daz3d.com/mec4d-hdri-gardens-vol-2-megapack
You find more of these here: https://www.daz3d.com/lights
The standard Skydome delivered with DAZ Studio will also be visible, if you turn on "Dome and Scene" and "Draw dome" in your render settings tab (/Environment).
But it's just a blurry something.
If you want a special image outside you can create a primitive pane (Create/New Primitive) in a size of maybe 15 by 15 m, apply the DAZ Uber shader (Shader Presets/Iray/Daz Uber) to it's default surface (surface tab) and add an image of your like to the base color channel. Scale and rotate the pane so it somehow looks like this:
For night scenes like this you can also add the same image to the "Emmissive" channel of the shader and crank up the luminance until it fits your needs (see screenshot).
Result will look like this than. (not fully rendered... just for demonstration)
This is without dome (Scene only in Render tab). So the pane acts like a light source outside the room.
For daylight scens you might want to make shure your pane with the background image is properly lighted by the Dome, by some spotlights or other light sources outside your room or maybe try turn on emmisse like above (didn't try that for daylight scenes so far).
Kind regards, Eagle99

Ah, of course, thanks... forgot about that as I never used it... :)
Or, leave the background transparent and use Photoshop, etc., to overlay onto a background later.
Thank you so so much for all this great information! Especially you Eagle99! I turned on the dome and that at least got rid of the transparent background. Then I tried adding this city background that I bought the other day. I haven't quite got the hang of this yet, never tried doing it before but I think I'm going to purchase the trees background instead.
Leaving it transparent sounds good also, unfortunately I don't have photoshop installed on this machine yet, only photo elements.
Thanks again!
Check paint.net, it's a free paint program with a lot of plugins that can duplicate photoshop functions.
Or Krita, that's pretty good.
