"New" V4 / Genesis Figures on Store Page?

Is anyone else having their store page inundated with supposedly "new" V4 and Genesis figures? I don't understand why...

Most of them are old products that got NEW pricing when they were added to the PC+ section.
If you really want new (as in NEW) V4s, you have to go to the other store.
I don't. I have no interest in V4's. I'm finding it irritating as none of them are new. They're just cheap and old.
Much of the older stuff transfers pretty well to Iray, I got this outfit and hair for $1.39 along with 2 other items in the bundle.
And some of my favorite skin textures are V4 textures. With CaymanStudios products you can use the textures on the newer figure lines including G8.
Snub your nose at it if you want, but you're missing out on some potentially good products and great deals. :)
Believe it or not, some of the new V4.2s by Maddelirium and Danae's old Metropolitan collection at the other site look better than the some of the G8s. V4 creators have a decade of experience with the model and they're doing it for Daz and Poser users.
They might not be new or made for the latest figures but that doesn't mean they're not good products....
I'm not saying anything about the products. I just don't get why they're showing up as "New" when they aren't.

Agreed. I love getting "New" PC+ Pricing on these products. I still use V4 more than any other fig.
I for one am thrilled to see Surreality's characters re-released as PC+. Now I have a chance to grab the ones I didn't already have to very nice prices! They are absolutely worth every penny!

I think the older V4 skins look quite nice in the latest versions of DAZ Studio, whether 3DL or Iray. Hair and clothing too. I don't use Iray much because I have an old computer and old graphics card, which means it takes forever to render, but I recently picked up a conversion bundle for Generation 4 and Genesis skins as well as the UHT Hair Texture Shaders for Iray and the results were pretty good even for someone like me who's still mostly clueless about Iray.
The hair shaders need a little work on my end but I'm liking how they increase versatility via combining and/or swapping around various hair props.
The textures are Hannah Kelsey and Alexis by Maddelerium and Juniper by A_ (Juniper was at RDNA but is now gone) though the dial morphs are my own.
I'm in the process of moving all of my V4 character and skins to G8F. I get to take advantage of all the beautiful older characters with the added benefit of having the excellent flexibility and expressions of G8F. Win win for me.
Actually, thanks for asking this Leonides02. I've been wondering the same thing. I don't have PC+ and wondered why I was suddenly seeing all this V4 content on the "New" products list. I couldn't imagine anyone was really making that much brand new stuff for Vicki 4!
Thought maybe DAZ had acquired it somewhere by buying another website, but I guess if there were any other RDNAs lying around, I'd have heard of them long ago.
OTOH, I just found a great site for Genesis clothing last week that I'd never seen before, so it's certainly possible. But changed pricing makes more sense.
And for what it's worth, yes some of these are certainly great products. No argument with that. More of a "don't call it 'new' if it's not really new" kinda thing.
I prefer V4 and Genesis 1 over the newer models, although I do use them all.

Ok, this might be noob question, but do i need anything else to transfer 4v, g2 and g3 skins to g8 than uv maps. I haven't tried transfering surfases maps before and there is so many beautiful characters i would like to try.
I was thrilled back when I got the cayman studios product to use V4 skins on G3, but after a few uses realized that the V4 skins just didn't look as nice as the new G3 ones I liked with the advanced iray properties. And even though I tried to tweak them more to iray standards, I just stopped using V4 skins altogether in iray

Well, I'd be thrilled if some Aiko 3 stuff got transferred to the Plat' Clube. Particularly wardrobe elements so "Melody for A3" can more to wear.
Then again, I've already bought something like 90 percent of the A3 goodies here, so it wouldn't benefit me that much.

I really like the products, I have three of them. I have the "Genesis 3 UVs for Genesis 2 Female", "Legacy UVs for Genesis 3: V4", and "Legacy UVs for Genesis 3: G2F". I kind of wish I had held off on the G3F ones though, as I'm mainly using G8F now.
Ehhhh, I can't say I'm fond of V4 herself: I find her cumbersome and way too clunky to use (same with M4), though I'm used to the more "fluid" morphing system of Genesis 1-3 and 8 (which is what I started out with). That said, there are some lovely items and character shapes, and I have utilities like GenX2 to convert them (and any M4 stuff) to Genesis 3, which is what I primarily use. So just because something is old and a thing you may never use, doesn't mean that it can't be used in other ways.
+1! For me it is fun to fiddle with the surfaces to give them a 'newer' look - if necessary.
The PC+ Anniversary Sale is the perfect opportunity to buy old, but exquisite stuff at incredibly low prices. It's a bit like treasure hunting. I also appreciate Daz's decision to add older PA models to PC+ .
hahah Same here! And I love your take on it: "a bit like treasure hunting". :) Part of the fun is bringing them into Iray and reshading them with updated shaders - it's like finding a tarnished old item at a garage sale, bringing it home and polishing it and realizing you have a wonderful treasure on your hands. lol
Of course, some items don't do so well in Iray because of lack of shader/texture zones. But I find that most older items do have adequate texture zones and do pretty well converted to Iray and/or reshaded with Iray shaders. :)
I use genesis 2 excusively.
However my Default Skin mapps for females
are the Syyd Raven "Vanilla Sky"
for V4 and the Daz "Sol elite " textures my G2 males
I dont use IRay..period ( I render stills in Blender cycles and movies in C4D )
IMHO neither of these skins, named above, have been matched/surpassed by
any of the new skins I have seen for G3/G8.
