Selling what I make

Is it ok to sell the artwork I make in Daz3d on T-shirts or mugs, things like that? Are there copywrite issues with the things I buy?

    from the EULA

Terms of Use. Two Dimensional Works. Subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement, User may (i) access, use, copy and modify the Content in the creation and presentation of two-dimensional animations and renderings, (ii) incorporate two dimensional images (including two dimensional images that simulate motion of three dimensional objects) derived by User from the Content in User’s other works, and (iii) publish, market, distribute, transfer, sell or sublicense User’s two-dimensional animations, renderings and other works; provided that User may not in any case publish, market, distribute, transfer, sell or sublicense any renderings, animations, software applications, data or any other product from which any Content, or any part thereof, or any substantially similar version of the Content can be separately exported, extracted or de-compiled into any re-distributable form or format.

so basically yes you can do what you want with your own artwork made using Daz 3d products, as long as it is not simply a copy of any images used in the shader prests, etc.

As pointed out, anything you buy from DAZ you can render and uses the image from the render to sell. If you use any freebies, you will need to check each one as many don't allow for commercial use which is why many that do commercial work, don't d/l or use freebies.

Daz freebies have the same license as daz commercial products, FSMC means freebies from 3rd party outlets.

One other question: on the freebies,  "Daz freebies have the same license as daz commercial products, FSMC means freebies from 3rd party outlets." does this mean the FSMC freebies are the ones without a commerial license?

I went through everything I have and they all say, "standard license". So, I am guessing that I am safe for now.

It means any freebies not from DAZ. For instance there is a freebie section in the forums where users post things they made and want to share. many times, these can't be used for commercial purposes. If DAZ gives you a freebie, it is covered by the same EULA as the items you actually buy.

  • Aaahhh! Thank you.

I also forgot to mention that the Anna-Marie Goddard digital clone from the Daz store has restrictions.
