Does Versitile Terrain 2 have morphs or is the terrain a fixed shape? If there are morphs, what are they?

I don't own that product but morphs are not listed in the product description so probably not.

It's pretty simple to make your own morphs using deformers and you can of course scale them to make them flatter or steeper.

The ruins on that product look nice, but the link to the freebie no longer works :-(

Fixed terrain in 4 flavours. No other options, but it is quite large.

You can get the different "shapes" by using the scales options (y,x,z). It works pretty well, but it doesn't have any specific morphs.

Will the textures from Versatile Terrain 2 work with Versatile Terrain ?

Oh, probably. I'm pretty sure they're all tileable materials. They might not apply automatically with a click, but you can always apply them manually in the surfaces tab.

Versatile Terrain 2 textures are done with bitmaps that are tailored to the terrain. They use a custom shader to overlay masks for at least 6 different textures, often tiled to different densities (each with bump, diffuse, normal and displacement maps) based on the type of surface. There is only one material zone for the entire sculpted prop, and the shader has 70 inputs to play with. The two terrains in the two products look completely different, so a dirrect copy probably wouldn't work, and trying to customize that shader would probably have you pulling your hair out before long.

Well, foo. So much for that. It will probably take the tiles from the first terrain. But not in the other direction.
