Did you do the draw settings that make things infinitely faster? Use the Perspective not the Camera, and don't have Point At, and Response Threshold = max, and so on? That made a HUGE difference for me.

Oh, and make sure you disable any exterior lights that have to bounce in thru a window or something. That brings it to a crawl.

I'm thinking of getting a 1080Ti soon. Are their prices inflated from the recent mining craze?

Also, what's the recommend PSU for a 1080Ti? I'm currently on a 430W supply, which is obviously not enough.

Well, the 1080ti was released like in March of this year, and if  you look at pcpartpicker it shows the price has pretty much steadily increased since this summer. I paid $760 this week for one, and I think it was introduced at $700. So yeah, it has increased.

As far as a power supply, I think the max power draw from a 1080ti is around 250 watts (but you can check online for some actual tests at maybe tomshardware). Even if you figure it's 300watts to be safe, then it depends on what else is on your system. My entire system with a 1080ti plus 1070 plus Ryzen 7 1700 plus 3 monitors can't get up to 400 watts when I'm rendering with both GPU's at max. I have a 750 watt PS but that's way overboard. Of course you'll hear people say you need a monster power supply, but in practice it's rarely as bad as people say. I actually have a power meter so my numbers are real, as opposed to some who guess from what they've read.

Unless you're going to overclock or something like that, in which case everything goes out the window and you really have to plan for major power increases.
