Content Disappearing

I noticed, recently, that some of my product was not appearing in the Content Library.
Now more and more Content is not appearing.
I tried reinstalling product, turning off the computer, things like that.
More and more of my product seems to be disappearing. Even after reinstalling, only some content is reappearing.
...and I'm getting error messages that say: 'Unknown File Format'- 'No importer for the file format can be found'.
Anyone else encounter this problem?
Anyone have an idea what might be happening?

Most of the missing items (but not all) look like Poser files - are you sure you have the right folders selected as Poser Format Content Directories, as well as as Daz Studio Format content diectories? Have you checked your drives for errors - creeping issues does sound suspicious.
Now that you mention it, I have been installing poser and OBJ files, lately. And I've been opening my Content Directory Manager a lot. (attachment 1)
Under 'Poser Formats', items do seem to appear. (a-2)
Content in 'DazStudio Formats>Daz Connect' appear, except for 'Scripts' (a-3).
But in 'Categories', nothing is coming up, anymore. (a-4)
And most of all- because I depend on this the most- my 'Products' directory is disappearing. (a-5)
Maybe I did something that caused this to start happening, I do remember getting prompted (offered the option) to delete a path (or something) in 'Content Directory Manager', and I did so before thinking about it.
(How did you recognize them as Poser formats?- attachments 6 and 7)
Also...I just noticed that when I reinstalled the products, they appeared. (They had not, earlier.) Then- one-by-one- they began disappearing again. (attachment 8)
The Scripts folder isn't an issue - only yhr centre has an exclamation mark, indicating missing or - as heer - no thumbnail. It's the exclamation marks at lower-left that indicate an issue as they are the missing content file markers.
Why are you wanting to load the .mc6 files (which won't necessarily do much) instead of the matching (in these examples) DS native files?
I have my DAZ Connect folder listed only in one of the Content Sets: Daz Connect Data
I would suggest removing it if you have it listed under DAZ Studio Formats or Poser Formats.
Mc6?
Oh, I was just trying every icon, at the time.
Trying to get something to happen.
I've also noticed that the files for my own characters are no longer loading with going through a lengthy reinstall process.
I need to figure out what's going on. And what steps I can tgake to resolve the problem.
I've never had most of my content start disappearing before. I can't work properly at all, until I fix it.
Do I need to uninstall 4.9 and reinstall it?
Oh? I have placed new installs in both DazStudio Formats and Poser Formats, recently, and...the problem really wasn't happening before that.
.Was there a Product list there earlier? My Product list- which I depended on heavily- is hardly working, now.
You think I did something to mess things up, when I was adding products?
I did place items in both Poser and DazStudio Formats.
I installed some items from
You screenshots aren't showing the actual paths set.
Yes. expand each of the sections so it will show what paths are assigned.
What I did, was... when I extracted the files- both Poser and DasStudio (The Daz files were said to run in both Poser and DazStudio, actually)- I placed them, well...I'll expand the screenshot:
I clicked 'Add', and choese one of the files I had created and placed the extracted files into. (using mostly the +DazStudio Formats, but some +Poser Formats, also.
I thought it was working fairly well, except...some files were not opening very well.
I confess that, before I started using Content Directory Manager, I wasn't experiencing too many problems with Content disappearing.
Can I better expalin this? I'm not sure exactly what you want.- sorry.
In the Content Directory Manager, click trhe + sign to the left of each content type. From your screenshot of the My Daz 3D Library folder it looks like you have things installed to the wrong location. For content to work correctly, the Data and Runtime foldes must be directly undernath the folder designated as the content folder -- I suspect that many of the subfolders in your My Daz 3D Library folder have Data and/or Runtime folders under them, and those files are not being found.
Thank you for replying!
So...what are the best steps to take, in order to clean this mess up?
How do I correct matters, so the files will show up again...say...when I check my Product Library, for instance?
