Is it now common practice to single out a PA and/or their product for community stoning just because someone does not like something about it ?
No, the mods won't allow community stonings (such spoilsports).
The issue is holes. They're what we're looking into.
Take texture you like into photoshop or gimp and create a semless pattern of this texture. Now you can create a shader of the texture and add it to geoshell.
No, it's common practise to give feedback on products, in a constructive and civil way.
I agree that it would be a good idea for PAs to offer expansion packs with alternative versions of an item including hole patches.
I love aeon soul's work...lots of variations for skimpy or full coverage via mixing the outfits.
And, there have been several helpful suggestions for working around said holes if one likes the outfit as a whole (no pun intended) which would actually encourage people to purchase the outfit (s) as well.
I'm not even sure what vendors or what outfits are being alluded to. I just don't like peekaboo holes just for the sake of showing leg or cleavage...I'm more utilitarian. LOL. For scifi stuff or armor I want something that's gonna cover...alien atmospheres can be deadly and showing boob could be fatal. LOL. Likewise with armor. It's just not practical to have a lady fighting and not have her most sensitive parts protected. Ouch. :P

if some brilliant PA could create Hole Patcher or DeSkimpify to address this need, i'll bet it'd sell like hotcakes.
maybe a companion product as well...PeekCreator, or Skimpify.

I suppose it depends a lot on your vision of how a fantasy world operates. Is it heavy Metal or Lord of the Rings? You can always use either magic or tech to get around common sense. ;)
Maybe they're designed for suicide missions...
*Sigh*
The hole thing is getting old...
If you get an 'no holes' option I also want a 'no high heels' option for the totally believable high heel assassin boots
...YES!
Imagine, you're running along a corridor for your life to get away from some alien set on demolecularising you with his Maser Discombobulator and suddenly you happen to jam a spike heel in one of those ubiquitous floor grates, twisting your ankle and falling, in the process forcing you to drop your Antiproton Annihilator pistol which goes sliding away out of reach on the smooth metal floor.
Have you seen the movie, "Hidden Figures"? One of the characters gets the heel of her shoe caught in a grate and has to abandon it to not get killed by the rocket test that's about to happen in the room. Spiked heels are dangerous!
I'm another who would love to see options for two, maybe three, heel heights on shoes/boots; Much like esha's Patchwork shoes, but part of a complete outfit. Or even as an expansion to the main product. There are a lot of products I would buy just for the boots, if the heels weren't 6-inch stilettos! (IRL, I can't even wear a 4-inch heel. It bends my foot enough to put my big toes to sleep! I cannot imagine wearing anything higher.)
I've sometimes wished for a visibility preset that could just turn the heels invisible. Unfortunately, that would end up with a hole in the sole which might not matter if the figure is standing, but would be likely to offer all kinds of complication in posing.
Not to mention that the shoe might not be flexible enough to unbend it, if it doesn't follow the foot pose. (Shoes don't always, I've found.)
I suppose a set of different heels like the patchwork shoes's set would be a possibility, but I'm reasonably certain that trying to get them fitted to the existing shoes would be a beast.
It would have to be an expansion product for a specific outfit, presumably by the same artist that crafted the original shoes/boots. For my needs, a set of boots that are identical to the original boot uppers with different heel options would be sufficient; Doesn't have to be a morph, or interchangable soles like esha's patchwork shoes.
Honestly a few well designed pairs of boots with good detailing on the uppers and with shaping presets that allow variances in heel heights and styles as well as multiple material zones ( to allow for the use of shaders and viability options) would go a long way.
"Why, no, Agent Zero, I have no objection to you marrying my son...
Now, I have a special mission for you. And a special uniform!"
How else can you get a stilleto into a public place these days?
...on the other hand, the character American Maid from The TIck animated series, did use her spike heels as throwing weapons to pin bad guys to the wall.
Loved that series! The two live versions weren't bad. But, the animated series was the best... really nailed the humor...voice actors were terrific.
Totally agree with you on this. Ninjas with spike or platform heels make even less sense to me than exposed midriff armor.
