Peachfuzz for G8

Comments

  • As a rule anything on the face doesn't even need to be autofit, because only the arms and legs changed from G3 to G8.

Does Peachfuzz work for Genesis 8 using Autofit?

I've been advised to use "None" when using autofit for any type of hair by one of the Daz mods. I've used Peach Fuzz on G8F. It fit fine, though it wasn't one of the "8" base figures.

  • Don't use autofit from G3F to G8F for hair at all. Just load the hair, change the scene identification to G8, and fit normally. G8's body and head are exactly the same as G3, it fits perfectly.

It kind of depends on one's level of comfort. I've been working through my runtime using SY's conversion method on G3 hair and wardrobe, and I bypass autofit completely. But if one isn't comfortable with all that tinkering, it's nice to know Autofit (figure: G3M/G3F as appropriate; and Type: None;) works well in many cases.

@josephlemons69_4db0991b45, If you want to try agent unawares' suggestion: Load the hair into the scene without your figure selected. If there is a G3F in the scene, DS will probably fit to it anyway, so right-click on the hair in the Scene tab, and use the Fit-to option to make sure the hair is fit to none. Then, with the hair selected, left-click on the menu icon for the Scene tab, scroll down to Edit, and click on Scene Identification in the resulting menu pop up. A dialog window will come up with the last entry being the one you want. Left-click on the "…" button to the right. Another window will open. Scroll down to Genesis 8, double-click to open and select male or female depending on the hair and figure you are using. (For Peach Fuzz, that would obviously be female.) Click on Accept to close the window. Click on Accept, (I think... doing this from memory,) to close the next window.

Now you should be able to right-click on the hair in the Scene tab and "fit to" your G8 character without Autofit popping up.

The window is completely blank, there is no G8 to Select, So I dont know how you are coming up with these answers lol

  • Something in your DS is broken looks like. That's not what you should see there should be a huge list of characters.

  • Yea I figured that was the case lol, any idea what is broken?
