Assembly Line Pose Automation Kit
in The Commons
When I first saw this product listed, I totally looked right past it because at first glance it looked like a very creepy pose collection that I didn't want any part of (hey, Halloween is coming soon, I thought it might be a theme.)

That promo pic is mad creepy with the noose like assembly line thing going on! So as a PSA, it is not what it might look like at first glance!
Besides that, I am curious to what some thoughts might be on this thing. It sounds interesting. How is it different from RSG's pose scripts on ShareCG?

Conversely, I looked at this, thought "Heck yeah, android factory!...oh. okay."
I think the pro of this is the ability to apply to a lot of poses at once.
Check this out!

Sorry for creeping you out
I tried to texture the figures to look nothing like real people, but at the small thumbnail size, I don't think it comes through properly
Assembly Line is for chaining together a series of actions (both built-in to Assembly Line or provided by other RiverSoft Art products) and being able to apply them to the current figure in the scene or to lots of files. What you can do depends on the actions, and you are able to customize the actions (and the series of actions) pretty easily. To get a sense of the things you can do, I built over 10 assembly lines to do various things that are included with the product.
LOL. Window Washing, Laundry, and Dog Walking is in the PRO version not yet available!
Heh, always room for upgrades, right? :D
Hahaha I thought it was a creepy environment as well, given Halloween and everything, and didn't even click on it until now... and now I want it!
Greetings,
Wow...I totally didn't realize that's what it is, and only clicked this thread out of curiosity.
Seems like a cool idea...

Had no idea either, is it too late to change how you've presented it? I feel like it's confusing, which is a shame for such an interesting product.
I could probably update the main promo. What would be a good main? I am not a huge fan of abstract mains or a main with pictures of code on it. The promos are one of my few opportunities to play with Daz, and I like to tell a story
BTW, Thank you outrider42 as you obviously struck a chord with other people and exposed a problem
I didn't recognise it for what it was either, and skipped over it thinking it was some kind of Halloween-themed horror thing I'd have no interest in. Maybe you could have choreographed dancers going along your conveyor belt, or something to do with synchronised swimmers. Or none of the above :) I think part of the problem is that in conjunction with the main image, it's quite a long title. By the time my tiny brain had got to the meat of what the product actually is ('Pose Automation Kit'), it had stopped processing it. Perhaps it needs breaking up with a hyphen to alert people with short attention spans to the fact that it's worth giving the second part of the title a closer look :)
No problem, I was sort of joking, as I did look at it later. If there is one thing about the promo, it might be where the chain is placed, looks like a noose, and the models sort of just hang lifeless. Perhaps if they were being held by a different apparatus, or maybe just standing on the belt, or striking a pose, it would't have evoked that thought.
Can't wait for the dog walking plug-in. Then we would be in uncanny valley.
We might need a new Daz dog first.
You I grabbed this without even reading or looking what it does Lol! I'm sure I will use it I have full faith in you !!!
LOL. At this time, the name is set in stone. I sometimes want to change the name of something that now has Genesis 8 support and that is not possible.
Yeah, I wasn't entirely happy with the chain. I wanted something slightly different when I was making the scene, but I didn't have better content (and I am no modeller). Thinking about it, maybe I should have done a "Chorus Line" instead of "Assembly Line"; the skeletons already are doing that in other products
Thanks Midnight! The feeling is mutual. We need to come up with an idea for collaboration. I would love to work with you.
+1 When I see that @Riversoft has developed a product, I just buy it
. I love and use all of their products in my workflow.
Trish
Thank you Trish! I really appreciate the support!
I wanted to mention I knew exactly what kind of product it was because of your avatar... nice consistency there.
Yeah, I think for me it was the fact that the bodies where just hanging that I didn't get what it was. Certainly didn't help that it came about near halloween and that looked like a "human assambly line environment" (perfect lair of a serial killer, maybe) to me. So maybe if the bodies had all different poses while still being in the assambly line, it would've made more sense to me that I should be focusing on the poses rather than the environment. As it stands, the focus of the promo is in the horror factory, rather than the characters. They simply become props instead. Does that make sense?
a riff on your bone doctor main promo could be fun.
something with one of those cool bronze-scaled robots experimenting on a mini-versions of the good doctor. automation triumphant, etc.
:)

Yeah, I have started branding a lot of my script products with the good doctor
And those pesky skeletons give him no end of trouble!
Yes, that makes sense.
It sounds like fun... I am not sure it would be obvious that it relates to batch automation.
For me, the product name gave me an instant clue about what the product was, and then your avatar confirmed my suspicions. Then I went to the commercial products forum to find out more about it (because you always post great additional info there), and decided it would be a great add-on and picked it up. I've gotten the habit now of always reading the product name, because I often can't tell from the image alone what a product might be (then I sometimes have to actually click on it to really figure it out). But, for what it's worth, the image didn't throw me off track at all.
That is good to know. I hope you like it.
I'm sure I will. I might get a chance to play with it in the next couple of days, but it will probably have to wait until Nov. (will be putting in some really long days, 7 days a week, over the next few weeks).
