PA Catch Up Sale - need clarification of discounts please

OK, so I read this:
"Buy any combination of Debut New Releases, Still New Releases, Daily Spotlight, or Featured Artist Catalogs¥ to get:
40% OFF for 1 OR 50% OFF* for 2 or more"
and put one Still New Release (200 Plus Head and Face Morphs for Genesis 8 Female(s) - $22.95) and one item from a featured artist catalog (Dogz' Time for School for Genesis 3 Female(s) - $19.95) into my cart. They total $42.95, which at 50% discount for two items should give a cart total of $21.45 by my reckoning.
The shopping cart says $25.74 ($13.77 for the morphs plus $11.97 for the outfits). Is this right? If so, can someone explain how the sales discounts actually work please, as they seem not to be working as advertised?

I think the discount system isn't working properly at the moment as I had a Debut New Release and a Still New Release in the cart and the 50% discount wasn't working for one of the items, but for the other. This sort of thing is typical when they have one of these catch up sales. My advice is wait until later or tomorrow and eventually it will be fixed. :)
Yeah it's broken. I have 3 Still New in my cart and only getting the 40% off price. At least they fixed it so Still New exists. When I first checked this morning the page was broken so it didn't show. Now it shows but discounts are broken. Typical Daz glitches :(
Some of the items haven't been placed back in the sale yet. It looks like FW's new items haven't been put back on sale properly -- Keiron is at 30% and not 40% discount. I'm not sure if FW Quinton, Beatrix and Francesca should be showing different discounts -- they all came out before the PA sale, but are new enough that they may still be in non-PA-Sale New Release status, and I don't know if that makes a difference.
Works OK for me - 50% off 2+ new releases and 60% off PA catalogs (70+% if DO).
As of 2:30 p.m. Central, there are several items that were part of the PA sale, which only show a discount of 30%. According to the catch up sale wording, ALL new PA items should be back at the 40% discount for one and 50% for two. I have several items in the cart waiting for this correction to be made.

Yes, I'm having issues also. I put Old Chap in the cart, along with other items, and the other items dropped in price, but he did not.
Thanks for the reassurances that I'm not the only one having problems. Seems to be a recurring theme with sales. I wondered if I was just not understanding the convoluted discount rules. I will wait and see whether things have improved by tomorrow, and will raise a ticket if not.
The Daily Spotlight sale is not working. I've put all three HD Add-on items in my cart and they remain at the normal discounted price of $16.78.

The sale states "ALL" PA sale new releases and artist catalogs are back on sale but the "still new" listing stops at the products that debuted up to the last Catch-Up sale, and doesn't list all the new releases since! If you look at them from the front store page listing or search for one, they still show the 30% discount instead of the PA sale base 40% discount, and these items don't work right in the cart as new releases to catalyze the 50% discount with 2 or more new releases etc. Normally when stuff like this is broken when i check at the dawn of the new DazDay just after 2 am EST, they have it fixed by the next afternoon, but it is still broken now at 530pm saturday! I hope they get this fixed before the weekend/sale is over, since some products I wanted to catch in the catch up aren't price-working correctly now. . .

Looking at the new releases, it looks like the discount may not be working properly for most things released in the past week. Items released in the past two days are mostly fine, but then I have to go three screens back to find a 40% discount.
Luckily I already boutght that one. :)
I want to buy 200 Plus Head and Face Morphs for Genesis 8 Female(s), Super Natural Brows Merchant Resource for Genesis 8 and 3 Female and Tribal Fury Henna for Genesis 3 and 8 with Bonus Character. Tribal Fury is on https://www.daz3d.com/pa-sale-all-new-releases and it has the 40% discount pricing. The other two products show in the Still New category on https://www.daz3d.com/annual-premier-artist-sale-2017 and showing 40% discount but they do NOT appear on the https://www.daz3d.com/pa-sale-all-new-releases page. Put all 3 in the cart and no 50% discount shows up. If I put Tribal Fury and another item from the https://www.daz3d.com/pa-sale-all-new-releases page in the cart I get the 50%. Put only the SUper Natural Brows and 200 Plus products in the cart and there is no 50%. Seems it is ONLY working for items on that https://www.daz3d.com/pa-sale-all-new-releases page and there is a LOT of missing content!

Yeah it seems to be fixed now. Looks like everything was finally added to the sale and 50% discounts are working.
I agree, looks to be working now for the items I'm interested in and the extent to which I can understand the discount rules!
