Contemporary clothes for G8M

A search for those criterias give us exactly 3 items, one Mega Wardrobe which I think is an epic fail of an otherwise great artist, one summer outfit which... ok, no comment, and one about intimates.
Drop the "contemporary" and we get up to a grand total of... 5 !!
Seriously, how are we supposed to use all the other G8M ressources we bought ? Here's hoping we'll soon get a whole bunch of DO G8M clothes during PC+ Sales !!

There isn't a lot I agree. Fortunately autofit isn't too bad. And if you use sickleyields tutorial you can fit previous generations clothing fairly well.
the stores and creators focus is most always on women's content because it sells better.
Yes, well the time spent adapting prevous gens clothes isn't spent on creativity or learning really necessary technical aspects. And to be frank there's a reason I chose to work mainly with G8, everything seems better and more realistic, clothes included ! Some artists made some pretty good looking characters but that's useless if nothing fits or if the props aren't good enough. I use a few hair sets from G3 and that's about it.
Frankly, you don't need new sets of contemporary clothing, those are the easiest to autofit. I have far too many polo shirts, pants shoes from G3 and earlier that will work for my needs. For a while I was still using items from David 3, and reusing keeps your older items in rotation that may not be made again.
I'm using my old G1, G2 and G3 outfits with my G8 males.

Then you are likely in for a long period of frustration. You are also placing way too much faith in the Daz 3D store search engine.
Ahahah you might be right about that. ^^ Some clothes obviously don't show.
Ok, maybe not the search engine, but just looking for clothing items for G8M there are only 17. So it's still low.
Not sure if you saw the Henley shirt and jeans available, that is in the Pro pack so it's possible you have that already, but it is a good contemporary look.
I'm all for more contemporary clothes for the men. However, as was mentioned already, auto-fitting from G3 to G8 has worked pretty well for me aside from shoes without much if any additional work. So, for instance, if I already have the G3 Mega Wardrobe, if G8 had been the exact same items I might have been less inclined to get them if the new fits were a significant improvement over auto-fits, or it came with other updates. I don't know that the G8 updates really translate into the clothes being inherently better, just that they are newer and all the people making clothes are improving. I wouldn't discount G3 products at least as far as quality goes, and wouldn't assume that it will take more than a few seconds longer than loading a G8 item for many existing clothes.
Just something to think about while waiting for more G8M clothing options.
I do like some of the looks of the more modern clothing sold with gen 8. The fit is better and it looks less like sims clothing. Some of the older stuff looks okay but others don't have the realism I like such as moveable parts and adjustments
We still have a fair way to go before things like realistic collars and uniforms are achieved. I still really want a nice tux with good shoulders and bow tie not to mention a marines and army umiform that doesn't have that plastic look to the way it clings to the body.
Agreed!! Plug and play 3D content to the rescue again, LOL
