Justin isn't a great seller... I'm not sure if he will be making a return but you never know
Well ... since there wasn't a Justin 7 (or a Justin 6, for that matter), probably ... never? Unless there are morphs or something in clothing or hair to indicate that he's coming.
Josie 6 had Jayden 6 as a pairmate in Genesis 2, but Josie 7 had no opposite-sex match. Julie and Justin were Young Teens 5; Justin has never been seen again, and Julie skipped Genesis 2 but reappeared with Genesis 3.
Beyond that, the names and positioning seem to change with the generation, but Tween Ryan 7 was paired and positioned with Julie, not Josie, and was a younger-appearing base. Says very little about what they'll do this time through, but history would indicate that either he won't appear at all, or that a character with some completely different name will be matched to Julie ... if she appears.
Yeah, I think the young males do even worse than they say the adult males do for sales: I think I payed almost nothing for Tween Ryan after all the specials and discounts o.O. They practically gave him away.

Believe in the fact that there will be 5 different DAZ 8 teen girls (Josie, Julie, Belle, Isabella, Sunny, ect), But I doubt we'll get a teen boy, a toddle, or a baby. One can hope, but I doubt that it will happen. People seem to only want girls.
Yup. Tween Ryan was the one with the up to 90% off discount depending on how many of the other DAZ Bases you had.
I didn't want Teen Ryan. But I wanted his hair. When he went on sale his pro bundle was cheaper than buying his hair, so I picked him up. he was pretty dirt cheap.
Growing Up for G8M should hit the stores in the next few weeks (according to it's PA, Zev0). This is likely to be the only option for a younger male on Genesis 8 for some time, and indeed may remain the only option.
While I'm tenatively okay with Growing Up being the primary (if not only) resource for G8M teens and kids, the real disappointment comes from the dearth of suitable skins for said children/younger teens, as many older male skins have fine wrinkles and entirely too much body hair.
And as my painting skills are, um, lacking, a single merchant resource (also from Zev0) isn't a viable solution for me.
Wouldn't Skin Builder work? For children, the UV shouldn't be much of an issue, and they'd certainly be hairless enough. As long as you're not trying to make non-G3F characters for sale, it should handle a lot of options.

And then you can use any G3F or G8F skin instead (as well as Skin Builder mentioned above). The main issue with female skins for males are the arched plucked eyebrows many have, but a lot of skins come without brows (or the brows can be removed with something like Brow Remover), and then more suitable brows replaced (eg fibre mesh brows)
I got the Easy Shape Master for Genesis 8. So it is easy to create younger folks based on G8. Older ones of cause, too.
And of cause every G3 skin fits, which uses the Base Male UV.
