Just kidding. Familiar word, but I had to look it up.
Obsidian is a naturally occurring volcanic glass formed as an extrusive igneous rock.
It is produced when felsic lava extruded from a volcano cools rapidly with minimal crystal growth. Obsidian is commonly found within the margins of rhyolitic lava flows known as obsidian flows, where the chemical composition (high silica content) induces a high viscosity and polymerization degree of the lava. The inhibition of atomic diffusion through this highly viscous and polymerized lava explains the lack of crystal growth. Obsidian is hard and brittle; it therefore fractures with very sharp edges, which were used in the past in cutting and piercing tools, and it has been used experimentally as surgical scalpel blades.
I'm kinda on the fence over this one, but I can't deny, this vendor has done EVERYTHING I suggest about product releases.
1) The top thing is, HOOD UP/on-HOOD OFF/down. Brilliant. This one feature makes this hood, pretty much better than 80% of the capes and hoods in the store. So many times I want to do a dramatic reveal where the character pulls the hood off. So difficult to fake.
2) The bundle of BOTH male and female- so no janky stretch marks or weird tightness in the crotch and booty. No weird circular chest decals. lol.
3) Genesis 3 and 8 separately. Thank you, kind vendor for caring about more of the customer base. Wonderful idea. Let us CHOOSE which way to go.
4) Pricing is a little steep BUT- it's gear for all sexes off the bat and ships with a good number of texture choices for variety.
5) Wide net of genres....at first I didn't know if this was Medievalist or sci-fi or modern. Assassin's Creed etc...seems pretty versatile depending....
6) Material Zones - looks like you can go berserk with the shaders and really customize the color scheme.
7) The dang morphs. Oh my. Deflated pockets? Are @Arki and @Shox-Design serious? You thought of that?
8) Props. I wish there was some kind of gun included, I always do, But I have so many- I'll equip them as I please. The Knives + Sword is a great thing. No one really does daggers. ANNNDDDD the blades are customizable too.
I could probably keep going. This is one of the best clothing products in recent times. It's also deceptive. I saw the promo and was like "Dark elfi-clothes..meh....."
But looking deeper has unlocked a true gem.
This is also going to be great for kit-bashing,,,,even the pants say for over boots so I gotta play with all those morphs...
This is a great staple and foundation wardrobe item.
I don;t even have the funds available, but I gotta do something.
In the cart it goes and let's see what else it drags for the discount.

Yeah, Arki and Shox always have top shelf-tier product that's worth the cost, both discount and full-price. I was pleased to see both sexes bundled together, and G8 and G3 versions available for purchase separately. Much as I like G8, I'm still firmly a G3 user due to varying factors, so having a G3 choice is fantastic.
I also like the jacket with a hood in particular. I have a character that's currently using the Liquid Halo jacket from Genesis 2, and because of autofit and me being unable to fix the collar distortion issue, the hood gets all janky when I have it down and am moving the character's head. This will make that aspect much, much easier when it comes time for hood down references, lmao.
I probably would've picked the set up, but the shirt looks odd to me. It looks like it should be stiff but is curved and plastic oddly distractingly distorted.. The green armored version is bright and useless as camo. The boots with laces and straps are an odd accessory for an otherwise seamless padded outfit.
Interesting. I thought this was to show off the material zones and all the bits you could shade differently.
There are a nice amount of material zones there for sure.
So arent you the ace of changing all that stuff?

I use the Mech4D shaders to change the clothes material...
it needs a better texture expansion and better chest pieces. The outfit looks a bit cobbled together to me and rubber and shiny. They need to decide whether it is armor or cloth. That top just look like the usual genesis dough. It should fit boxier. Nothing really makes sense to me. Why alll the straps and laces on the boots and everything else is so seamless and lacking detail? I'd pick it up if it were cheaper but this is too steep for me especially with all the deformations torso pieces in the promo and I don't need more women's clothing so the bundle is not something I'd buy.

I also like the look of this set, but had a question hopefully for someone who has gotten it (or the vendor). Are the texture sets the same between the G8 and G3 versions? As in, there are a total of four options for each piece of the set, and it is the same options between the two versions? I can't tell if you "split" the four sets between the two products in the promos, or if they have have different sets and there is mixing and matching between the promos for each set.
Tough for me to get both at the moment, so wanted to get some idea of which set to get first.
