Question re: Daughters of Eve collections

Anyone who has used the Daughters of Eve collections in the past - how easy are they to use? I'm just starting out with both CG art and Daz, and trying to build a basic collection for character creation, and the Daughters of Eve collections look wonderful, but do they need to be used in Poser (which I don't have)? So confused!

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!

Daughters of Eve and DOE2 for Genesis 3 work fine in Studio. Daughters of Eve and DOE2 for V4 will work in Studio but like all V4 products, are a bit more tedious to get loaded.

FWIW, there are many similar packages available for Genesis 2 and Genesis 3

There are Victoria 4 products with that name and Genesis 3 Female products with that name.  Which ones are you refering too?

https://www.daz3d.com/daughters-of-eve-2-faces-for-v4 and https://www.daz3d.com/daughters-of-eve-2-body-shapes-for-v4 were the ones I was eyeing. I was also seriously considering https://www.daz3d.com/ps-ruffa_faceplay-for-v4, which is by the same artist, because the promo image looks almost exactly like a character I want to create.

I wasn't aware there were genesis 3 versions, but then, I still don't really understand the difference between victoria and genesis ... I wasn't kidding when I said I was new at this. I knew there'd be a learning curve, but wow.

Use Genesis 3 if you're using Studio, it will cause you much less headaches.

The earlier versions for V4 are for Poser only. The newer sets were made for Genesis 3 Female and for Daz Studio only. The morphs can be dialed too for your own preference.

Victoria 4 (V4) is a very old figure. And while some still enjoy using her, she does have her issues (particularly with the way she bends at her joints). If you're just starting out I recommend starting with Either Genesis 3 or Genesis 8. Genesis 8 is the current figure line with the most up to date technology. But Genesis 3 is also really good (that figure line came out right before the Genesis 8 line - don't ask why they "skipped" Genesis 4 through Genesis 7).

So Genesis 3 and Genesis 8 are the two most recent figure lines and you'll get the most realism in their joints/bends with those figures. The good thing about the recent release of the Genesis 8 line is that means Genesis 3 figures are going to get cheaper and go on sale more. :)

Not only do the newer figure lines have better joints/bends, but the skin looks more realistic (IMO).

Victoria 7 (which is Genesis 3):
