Didn't they say Genesis 8 moves much better than the previous versions?

We were told one of the improvements of Genesis8 is the much better, more natural movement. Why, then, does it need the new breast and glute controls? With all the praise for the new generation, I expexted that to be integrated. Obviously not...

[Sarcasm mode on] When they said Gen 8 moves much better I think they were referring to moving merchandise through the store as you now need to buy all the morphs, controls, shape shift etc. all over again for the new figure.
Because in many cases people want "perfect", not believably realistic.

Yeah, I'm going with this.
Because they only sell you the base to get you started and have PAs (or themselves) sell all the addons. Which could and sometimes should have been included in the base, but that does not generate extra money.
While I understand, I still don't like it. Especially when you need to to it over and over again with each new generation (and get no discount). The first buy-in is cheap, but then...
But know that you can re-use some things, it just takes you time to learn how to copy/convert and then to actually do it.
It's then a decision if you want to spend money and save time, or spend time and save money. :)
The other alternative is to include everything and charge five times as much.
You guys would totally be willing to buy Victoria 8 base for $400, right?
With respect to Zevs work, the product isnt really one of those correctives things, its additional pose controllers and puppeteer support along with some shaping morphs and HD and impact morphs. No doubts there will be correctives packages shot around by numerous artists as there always is, where yes it can be argued "if its so great as they say, why do we need to buy fixes" but really I dont feel thats what this product is at all
Since the thread started with a comment on the Breast and Glute morphs, it should be noted that Zev0 always adds an introductory dicount for previous buyers of the previous generation of the same product. A number of the other PAs do it as well, and DAZ themselves often add discounts for previous purchasers of similar product.
In the end, this is not unlike customizing cars. The basic package generally works well, but adding all the extra whistles and bells can make it work better (at least, as long as you know how to properly use those whistles and bells.) Nobody is MAKING you buy those Hello Kitty seat covers and floor mats... well, okay, my wife did, but you get the idea.
