You could always send an inquiry to customer service; but AFAIK if they use mesh sold at DAZ this is, unfortunately, not permitted at this time

If you model your own figures or find models somewhere that gives you rights to print. But as far as Daz, not possible yet :(

Which has me curious about sites like share cg with usage rights that just say "commercial use ok" or "do what you like"

makes me wonder if you do contact DAZ if they do have some thoughts on a license, cost and when it can be used. i would say post here if you find out anything, but probably won't happen. I did stumble on an online  store with 3d amazon/barbarian female figures and after looking really close at them, decided they probably weren't DAZ figures and I didn't recognize any of the outfits.

For now if you really think there is a market go with MakeHuman and FaceGen but use the version of FaceGen that exports to obj files. It is more expensive then the version of FaceGen Artist Pro for DAZ Studio, precisely because it's more likely to be used by game studios and other organizations that are much more likely to have deep pockets.

As noted by others, at present Daz doesn't offer a license for commercial use in 3D form, and if they ever do, it's likely to be pretty high, and limited to their assets only. Given that 3D prints from most printers are pretty low quality anyway, you might as well go with open source or public domain assets. As Nonesuch notes, there's MakeHuman, which you can use as a starter for building your own creatures.

On making them look like specific people or actors or licensed characters: obviously, you can't do that without permission, and likely paying a royalty if they are not open source.

A note for the OP - the FaceGen has a random face generator and can do it for ethnicities too and also has slider adjustments to exagerate a face to be a caricature so creating 'D&D' style humanoid characters should be pretty easy using it.

also I believe the Faceshop creator has a standalone on Renderosity for 3D printing busts

you can also make it work on makehuman

Makehuman FBX loads in Carrara rigged DAZ studio not so well but as collada can be posed but not saved

but you could use it as a basis  for a 3D print adding clothing like details in Sculptris or if you can afford it Zbrush core if not full, a print needs solid sculpted clothes anyway, DAZ clothing all single polys on top.
