Iray Issues

When trying to render in Iray, or even work on scenes I get what would appear to be lighting problems.  For example, If I load Marshian's "Ocean Wide" water and skydome and render, I get a completely black render.  If I Load only the water, it renders ok.  Is there a setting that needs to get changed when adding environments?  It seems like the environments are blocking out both the "natural" Daz lights and also the environment lights.

the product that you mention is for 3dl and it doesn't work in Iray.

In general, skydomes don't work with Iray.

Just leave out the Skydome and plug the .jpg for the sky into the Environment Dome. There are ways to use the original skydome if you search the forums, use Google as the search  function for the forums is less than useful :)

If it doesn't work with Iray, then why do they call it an Iray skydome?

Where? The Iray dome is a render setting, an HDR applied to a virtual dome. In 3Delight actual modelled domes were often used, to give a visible sky since 3Delight didn't have a built-in dome feature, but those had Cast Shadows turned off - that isn't possible in Iray
