Makada- Issues?

The first image is from the main promo. (Go click, enlarge it, and get a much better feel for this.) Wow, the materials don't line up with the brow AT ALL. And on her backside, her hip has long, white stretch marks.

It's a shame, she's a lovely character. AND DAZ SPELLED THE LINK WRONG. IT'S MAKADA AND NOT MAKEDA. Edit- or the promo image is spelled wrong, because the gallery name is spelled the same as the link. (But most likely, whoever did the link did the website gallery page too.) Will be interesting to see what her name really is.

Again, these are screenshots, go look at the promos to get a very clear view of these areas.

Sadly that isn't the only new product with problems this week. If you look at the promotional images for the Nerdy Girl Outfit, there is a ridge between the breasts. I would have thought that they would have at least made sure it properly fit the figure they bundled it with.

Aren't those stretch marks.... stretch marks?

I would like to know if the eyebrow was intentional for some reason though, now that you have pointed it out.

Stretch are bumps- raised, a bit- but I'm not sure. Those are really long stretch marks Edit- looked some up, and they can be long like that. On the hiney cheeks, most I saw were long.  BUT-  they end on the right at the same place, which forms a definite cutoff from lines vs clear skin. But who knows?

I saw the eyebrow issue in the promo and didn't know what was going on there.

I thought those were suppose to be stretch marks.

It's more like scratch marks. Some of my figures also have imperfections. Did the artist made it that way?

Interesting- if you go to the thumbnails, the last row, image of the two hineys (one blue striped suit, one red striped) you'll see the lines are on both sides of the cheeks. Stretch marks aren't symmetrical, appearing on both sides of the body- and while it's hard to see these perfectly, they look pretty symmetrical to me. See what you think.

    This has been reported.

I noticed the eyebrows, and I wondered about them. I noticed the stretchmarks and was glad that someone had not Photoshopped them away. Many women have stretchmarks, but darker skinned women's stretchmarks are more noticeable because of their darker skin. imo, this is not a flaw.

I did look it up, and stretch marks on the hiney ARE long like that- and do really resemble these with the exception of being symmetrical on both sides or ending at the same spot. But that could easily be the lighting.

Thanks for reporting it, I'm more concerned with that brow than the hiney. I wish those marks weren't there, regardless of what they are- wish there was a with and without option.

I agree about the stretch marks, they look quite normal and natural.

I like flawed skin, but the stretch marks look a little odd to me. It's a shame we can't see the buttocks without the bikini covering, so we can see exactly how far those marks go. Does she have them anywhere else? I would think if you had marks that noticeable you'd have them in other places too...lower belly?

The stretch marks look authentic.  On Black skin they can be darker or lighter.  Mine are lighter and are pretty symmetrical across my butt. (a little TMI)

My BF has dark skin ( and never been fat)  and stretch marks exactly like those of the model. I'm hoping that if they 'fix' her, they leave that option in. It's called a tiger butt.

I guess I'm the odd one here... When I saw those brows I said- yay! That is how all the blond women do their brows here-they draw or powder a brow shape, but you can usually see the lighter brow hairs over it. A natural option would be nice too tho. Although, I do not know almost any women with light brows that leave them their natural color.

@ Jakiblue- my BF only has them on the cheek of the bottom and much fainter- right where the butt and back meet.

  • The stretch marks look pretty authentic to me.  An updated option that removes them would be nice as well.  If nothing else, I can edit the texture in Photoshop.  Also, I agree that a natural face option is always a plus for me.  I usually like minimalist makeup on my characters (and on real people).

  • BTW...I have Andromeda from Isource and she's gorgeous.

My first thought when I saw this was the vendor used SB3 for the makeup on a merchant resource skin... without removing the existing eyebrows first. Regardless of the how, I'm not interested in a character with such a blatant issue on the face. I can cover up the stretch marks with clothing. And if they truly are symmetical, not show both cheeks at the same time, if I don't cover them. But the eyebrows are a deal breaker for me.

  • Does anyone know if the eyebrow issue has been fixed on this character?

I wish I could help but my desktop is down and my laptop won't get here until next week. Hope someone else can answer this for you. I posted in my Art Studio thread and asked for help for you.

It looks like she uses makeup on her brows to me, not all that strange for someone with light colored brows. It is odd by Daz standards, so it depends on how you view it. Considering the stretch marks and other details, I think this is intintional. When I look at that close up, the black has no hint of looking like a hair, it is solid. The only lines you see are from the fiber brows. So that leads me to believe it is makeup.
