Zbrush Genesis 8 morphs ????

Has the ability to create morphs been taken out of genesis 8 ? I use the same steps that have always worked on any and all genesis figures and when trying to make a morph all you get is the same headache another figure created and no ability to update figure is this figure going to be where you cant make morphs or am i missing something here?.

You need to make sure you aren't exporting the lash and tear figure - if you look in the DevKit folder there's a preset to load a basic Genessi 8 Female which should work, if you are wanting to work on a loaded figure temporarily remove the lashes.

  • What I have done for G8 is to use the GoZ bridge to send her to zBrush, open the subtool menu and be sure you hide the lashes. Importing with GoZ works fine here.

  • I wonder if it could need to reinstall, the G3F and others work fine still as they always have. I made sure the resolution was at base just like always but still the same dose anyone know if the paths for morphs have any differences that may effect this unlike G3, G2 and genesis? I also tried the developer version and the regular version with the same problem didn't change.

Are you making sure there's no lash figure? it will be parented to Genesis 8 Female.

No  problems here with G8F and Zbrush, very straightforward with good results using the developer version and GoZ bridge, and base resolution. also no probs with the G8F genitailia mesh,

I found at first the eyelash mesh was causing a selection problem in Zbrush but once I used the Dev version of G8 that was sorted.

G8 is a lot nicer to work with , much faster loading and better shape and movement. Must be something up with your setup, how annoying.

Whether the lash figure is included or not is irrelevent when using GoZ to send the default Genesis 8 figure to zBrush, as it comes up on a separate subtool; I've done multiple send to zBrush and back to Studio with GoZ and I've never had the vertex error that way. I know using the obj export without excluding the lashes has the potential to do this if you accidently add vertices to it, or have two copies of the lashes somehow.

    You can copy the content from \My Library\data\DAZ 3D\Genesis 3\Female Genitalia\morphs to \My Library\data\DAZ 3D\Genesis 3\Female Genitalia\morphs exept the DAZ  3D folder to use the 3rd party morphs for Genesis 3 on Genesis 8.

yes thanks, I discovered this after I had made the morphs however the ones I have made give me some more pleasing results and the groin tendon morps that work on the main G8 mesh are unique and give a very realistic shape. BTW I think you made a typo in the path you described, I bolded the bit in the following \My Library\data\DAZ 3D\Genesis 3\Female Genitalia\morphs to \My Library\data\DAZ 3D\Genesis 8\Female Genitalia\morphs

Dont use Zbrush, but have made a lot of morphs using Blender, the only issue I had was the eyelashes; first time I forgot to invis/delete before exporting the figure.
