Depth Canvas with transparency

So when I render in 3delight using Age of Armour's depth camera, it seems to take opacity into account, but Iray's depth canvas doesn't. So that means when I import into photoshop and use the depth map to apply fog, iray's version is blocky around trees and hair where as AOA's isn't. Is there a way to get Iray to take Opacity into account as well?

    Huh. I had been contemplating a shader based on distance from a point but figured it'd be redundant with depth canvas.

    Maybe I should revisit that.

    That may be a really good solution to this problem, assuming that there isn't a toggle somewhere that I'm missing of course.

    Correct, Iray's depth map doesn't account for transparencies/opacities. Known issue.

    I'll play around with it. I have a few odds and ends I was thinking of putting in a new pack.
