Why does DAZ list TWO phone numbers that don't work?

ItsCeoItsCeo Posts: 471

In the 'Help' tab DAZ lists TWO phone numbers that are not moderated, are not answered, and simply say basically "go online and fill out a tkt".

Why does DAZ do this?  If you do not have phone support, why list TWO telephone numbers.  To me it is no different than putting a box on your Help page saying "Talk to a Live CSR Here" and when you press the box you get a message saying 'We don't have live CSRs - write a tkt'.

Possibly the page hasn't been updated for a while  -though at least one of the numbers has been working, at least until recently. I will flag this up.

It's the weekend and I've gotten the same mesaage but I've found it's just as fast to file a ticket ASAP if it's a glitch of the DAZ Store massively overcharging you on an order. I'm pretty sure who you talk to will wind up filing a ticket on your behalf anyway so it's easier to be accurate on your behalf if you write the ticket youself for DAZ Help people.

In you interests of clarity you should:

    1) File a detailed, concise ticket at the internet DAZ 3D help desk and record the ticket number you are assigned.

    2) Then, if you desire, call the DAZ help phone number with your assigned help desk ticket number.

Ohhh!  So you are saying that on Monday - Friday, durring regular business hours Utah time, the phone numbers ARE answered by people?

All support contacts are added to the same queue, however they are submitted.

I haven't called them in a long time, but I got through during the week. They are closed on weekends and at night Utah time. It's faster to do the ticket generally.

Yes, they are closed weekends for my experience (once) called their telephone number.

This was not a weekend only thing - you still get the 'go online and write a tkt' recording.  It seems that there are no phone numbers that are answered by people made public by DAZ  I looked at several business listings sites and even State of Utah business search.  All numbers are either disconnected or are 'go online and write a tkt' messages..

A long time ago on a telephone I threw far far away... I called DAZ's old support number a few times when there were problems and spoke to a nice lady who promptly took care of the problems.

    But those were simpler times.

I find it funny that they are paying a phone bill to keep active a phone number who's sole purpose is to tell you not to call it.

Its either a really comically mean joke, or there is a slight chance that after the message starts, if you punch in a secret code, you'll get connected to HQ at Area 51.

It is our understanding that this is being looked into.

When the recording starts, try the "zero" key. That will get you a live operator at many businesses. Or "1", or "69", for reasons upon which I won't speculate.
I haven't tried calling DAZ, so I dunno.
One of the businesses I'm invested in has "7734" as the secret code to reach the operator, but then, the owner is weird. (Visualize 7734 upside down). It's a robotics company for fast food, and the $15.00 minimum wage will make me wealthy.
