Powerpose - The Legacy Templates

So for some Powerpose is new, for most it's been around since Studio 2, and carried a host of templates for some of the most iconic figures, cartoons, critters we've seen in this hobby ever.
A host of people before me had done some incredible work in the past to keep it going and somewhere along the line I took up the torch to carry on the templates for updateing Powerpose's templates from Studio 4.3 to it's latest incarnation.
Well currently there are a few gaps. Daz has stated they will make updates to fill those gaps but in the mean time I'll continue to host my legacy copy over at deviant art for download in a manner that will not conflict with the current version. However, those figures will not have the updated template abilites as Genesis 8, sorry. The programming required is more than I have available at the current moment.
The attached link will be for the Legacy (older) figures and updated as DAZ continues to update their temples to support the Genesis based figures.
Out of good faith with Daz, I've temporarily suspended downloads of the Legacy templates. I'm awaiting a response.

Question: If i already have your older package installed will I have to remove anything if a new Genesis 3 Powerpose template is released?
sort of...I'm waiting on Daz to give the yea or nea on the go forward right now. the Template.dsx file is the file that determines which files are read and not read. The file that I have is set up in a way that I'll go in and pull it back with each each new release that Daz does with the older figures. By DAZ rules that file shouldn't be altered, but it's been altered by every person who's moded Powerpose since it's incepettion (Studio 2 ?). I'm playing fair and by the rules...ie why I've had the zip file taken down at the moment.
One approach would be to write a script to open the template .dsx file (obviously it won't work on encrypted files) and make adjustments - scripting has several classes/objects related to XML handling. That way the script can be run by the end user, or if you package it up for DIM (e.g. using Content Package Assistant) the script can go in the RunOnce directory to fully automate the process..
Your talking to a guy who does not use hobby lingo or bother to get into deep into programing (none if possible). I saw the language, saw a pattern and realized it was wirtten very similar to Turbo Pascal. This is diversion for me what you're suggesting is way off in left field for me. If you're willing to help out, I'm all for it. What your suggesting sounds like a PA kind of level, that's not me, I'm a hobbiest.
I did these legacy templates for free in my spare time, if Daz will allow altering the Template.dsx and it's distrobution later on, I'll still continue to make templates....for free in my spare time.

Well if Daz doesn't release a PowerPose template for the genesis 3, I'd be interested in the one you have made. The one available in Daz 4.9 for Genesis 3 Female only seems to partially work. (somethings wrong with feet and toe controls) Does your template for Genesis 3 have all the detailed face controls (Mouth, Cheeks, Eye Lids, etc.) like the template for Genesis 8 does?
Okay...here you all go.
Support...limited but support for Genesis, G2 and G3.
I'm done and walking away from this. It's now up to Daz and where it goes from there.

Anyone else who wants to take up this project, you're welcome to it. I've had it and ran with it for 4-5 years and kept it free for everyone to use and even offered up the templates to Daz many times and never heard a peep.
7,800 downloads since the first version. It's more popular than people think. But that's in the past...I'm moving on...to bigger, better, more rewarding projects.
To answer any questions, these template are based upon the previous version of Powerpose and do not have all the whistle and bells that v4/m4 or g3.1 (G8 the update) have.
Good luck to all.
Happy futzing.
Paul.
