Daz Stuido has stopped working (Worked until latest update)

The same scene files that rendered fine in the pervious versions 4.9.x.x do not complete in version 4.9.4.115 Pro (64-bit).

I get a pop up windows saying "Daz Studio has stopped working." before the render completes. I am using IRAY on 3 NVIDIA GTX580 GPUs on a workstation with 16g ram. I didn't have problems until I installed the lastest update and can't work anymore.

Any tips on how to troubleshoot this problem? Can I roll back a version? Help!

Open the log file after a render crash and see if there are any errors listed - if you open it via Help>Troubleshooting>View Log, then close and render, you should be able to reiopen it with the updates from your text editor's File menu.

I didn't see that before. Thanks.

I have SLI disabled on my 3 GPUs. I tried with SLI turned on and the render doesn't work at all.

No, Iray won't use SLI and may - as you've found - take exception if it's on.

I managed to get it working by looking in the log file as suggested. There was a message in there saying I was using my display GPU to render and that would degrade performance, or something like that. to make a long story short, since I have 3 GPUs, I turned off one of the GPUs for rendering so it could be used for display and devoted the other two GPUs for rendering. This seems to make it more stable, no crashes yet, but I am still testing. I did get through the render that was locking it up, so thanks.

I saw a lot of errors in the log related to memory allocation. I don't know if they went away completely and will have to go back and check that file some more to monitor the situation.
