Are you using DS 4.9.4.111 or higher

dunno how it happened, but even if the DS version is not the exact one required, the shader nodes are basically identical so the maps would NOT get dropped into totally incorrect slots.( like the mouth diffuse map into the face diffuse slot as in your screencap/render)

to fix it, you need to manually move the texture images into the correct slots.

personally, i would uninstall Victoria 8 and Genesis 8 Female, clear your cache( possibly run summat like CCleaner) then reinstall, making sure DS is fully shutdown first. this should sort the issue.

  • I'm using the latest update

  • thanks 3anson, I'm going to try that now...

  • dumb question for ya...How do I clear my cache ?

there is a 'purge memory' button in the scripts folder, make sure to empty your scene, apply the script a couple of times, then shut down DS.

make sure it has fully shut down before you fire it up again.

also, DS can generate a huge amount of temp files, so running an app like CCleaner can really help.

  • ok, awesome...thanks again 3anson. Hope this does the trick

  • ok, is it the DSON cache in Preferences ? My Scripts file is empty & there's no 'button' of any kind that I can see. Not saying it doesn't exist; I'm probably looking in the wrong place.

Tech support once asked me to clear the cache. Here's the info they gave me to find it.

Have you tried clearing your temp cache?
By default, they are located here:
    C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\Studio4\temp
    and
    C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\dson\cache

If you can not see your AppData folder, type %appdata% in the Start menu and Windows will open the hidden folder.

Simply delete the files in these folders.

    Hope this helps.

  • Thank you L'Adair. I'll give it a shot ASAP...really hope this works :)

  • that didn't work :/   Thanks though
