Before you all bombard me with comments on how its not easy and no walk in the part etc yeh I get it. I was wanting to learn the basics at least then maybe see if I have what it takes to progress at all. So is there a good tutorial please on the techniques and general procedures as well as workflow on slowly molding together quality content? what do most people who are curious about this tend to look at? ty.

Drekkan:
So, I've been making content for a few years (mostly for free giveaway). I have latched onto a lot of different products to see how good they are. Ultimately, it depends on a couple of basic issues:
1) What software do you have? If you plan only using a modeler like Hexagon, then there is a lot of free stuff out there or you can go with an established course from either Dreamlight or Digital Art Live. Both of these groups have introductory and advanced level tutorial programs that really helped me get up and running.
2) If you have a software like Marvelous designer, then I would recommend CG Elves or Lori Griffiths' work. CG Elves probably has one of the more complete tutorials on MD and is constantly updating. Lori has written the book on MD and also has a website where you can download patterns, learn how to "sew" the patterns in MD, and even has a texture database.
3) There's also a ton of free stuff on YouTube. My biggest recommendation is start with something specific and then go from there.I tried to learn all of DAZ at once and ended up getting really frustrated because I wasn't seeming to get it all. There's a reason why specific vendors on here specialize in different types of products.
Hope that helps a little.

Your first step is to learn to model. This isn't a DS specific thing, it's a modeling app specific thing. Find a modeling app with a UI you like and learn how to use it. Then you can learn about getting it into DS
Pick the 3D modeller and go from there. PAs use Zbrush, Modo, Hexagon, Blender, Silo, Marvelous Designer, and others. There's plenty of tutorials for each. It's hard work regardless which one you pick.
Here's an extensive and all inclusive thread for making clothes. https://www.daz3d.com/forums/viewreply/31140/
And one for Genesis figures. https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/12921/
I suggest you give Blender a try, https://www.blender.org/ It's a full-blown, serious, more-than-professional grade, 3D modelling program that's completely free. There are at least a billion tutorials for it including many for making clothes for all types of figures. Sickleyield, http://sickleyield.deviantart.com/ is a Blender user and is always willing to give advice.
I suggest you stay away from paid for tutorials. In my experience they're all garbage. There's plenty of free and excellent material available. YouTube is a good place to look as are the two threads I mentioned.
Indeed if you do not have modeling skills then you Must acquire them first...sorry there are no shortcuts
to making usable Daz studio content be it clothing or props.
Learn to model and learn it well.
+10!
