Amber renders quickly, with the Fantasy Hair (also on sale) it was 18 minutes. This is with the Iray Ghost Light Kit added to the Pro-Studio HDR Lights- original product. I put her in IH Kangs Equestrian Outfit and it seemed formal, so went with sophisticated lighting.
Got renders? Love to see them.

Darn you, Novica... I was trying to resist!
DAZ, the borg of the 3D world... resistance is futile!

You should know that by now.... if I get suckered in, by gosh, I try to get everyone else suckered in.
Misery loves company, eh?
Not for me, LOL I don't ever have a need to render teens or kids, so it's easy for me to resist,
I like the equestrian render though Novica, came out well.
I'm looking forward to runing those skins through SB3, see what I can come up with.

Same here and when the need does arise
for a upcoming scene in my movie project,
I will use My G2 figures made younger with the growing up morphs.
Here's another one, using another of IH Kang's outfits (because it's one of the featured stores. Reminder, with a new release from today, you get 20% off, then with 3 things from those stores, another 20% stacking on that. Outfits are $7+. This is the H&C Short Casual A
I don't get the same results as 3DU's. The heads on those are too big, I shrink them down to at least 95% and getting the chest to smooth out is more of a hassle too. I wish that had addressed in the Genesis 3 edition, but I still love the product and use it too. These out of the box are easier to work with IMO.

I have seen a "few" morphs of preteens that looked really good, and I'm curious how much work went into achieving it, but it clearly requires skills that many people haven't mastered (same for older characters). Sometimes speed is more beneficial so while my hats are off to those that have the time and inclination, I stilll like having a go to figure as a base that makes my life that much easier. Often I'm looking at the results and the finished product and anything that saves me hours getting there is a welcome addition to my runtime.
What's wrong with her face?
edit: To clarify, I'm getting serious uncanny valley vibes. Creeps me out.
She doesn't appeal to me. She looks made up like she's wearing eyeshadow and mascara and the eyebrows are quite shaped looking.
Really depends on the render. Admittedly there are a lot of bad expressions on many of her promo renders, but I always look at the best renders to get an idea of what a character can look like. The best looking characters can appear horrible with bad expressions sets, and a lot of the expression sets can make many figures look absolutely horrific
to the point that I now shy away from full face expression sets altogether.
That's because that one is the makeup render. There's several options.

Something weird about the mouth (espcially when smiling). Chucky's sister, maybe?
LOL, ya'll stop picking on the poor girl! (Or she'll send Chucky to see you...)
This is the first time that DAZ has released an item I really like with an orange banner discount on the day I get paid, so of course I bought her, lol. I like the style used in Amber, Skyler, and Rayn. They definitely are not for everyone though. I noticed that Amber loads in shorter than Rayn or Skyler, perhaps she's a younger sister?
What I would really like to see is a boy who is around the same age and style as Rayn.
No, it's just that with Amber, 3DU has finally gotten a kid's size proportional to the age her shape implies. Skyler/Rayn (who are the same morph from the shoulders down) are nowhere close.
I loaded in a base G3F with Zev0's Growing Up morphs and compared them. Skyler and Rayn are about the size of the young teen morph and Amber is the size of the 9-10 year old morph. I don't think that Skyler and Rayn are unreasonable for a 12 year old. Of course with scaling any of them could work for any age between 9 and 12.
Actually, Skyler and Rayn are designed as 12 year olds where Amber is designed to be 9/10.
I have Ashley as well, but the first 3DU figure that really excited me was Sadie, and later Sam. I mostly do fairly realistic renders, but something about 3DU's characters just appeals to me.
For added temptation, the swimsuit looks good on other G3F figures like Tween Julie 7. Strangely it doesn't look so good on Skyler/Rayn and the younger Growing Up morphs.
...........
Does the shirt really look like that, or are the morphs causing the design to warp on her upper chest? That's rather extreme.
It is nice that she has separate head and body morphs! Characters with a single morph (like Skyer did) drive me insane. I wont buy a single morph character again.
It is the morph causing the textures to warp like that. It is a nice character, but getting clothes to fit well is challenging. Two that do work well are Skyler's dress and the dress for the caucasian Little Ones.
So character clothes with a similar shape, then. What about fitting men or boy clothing to her?
I actually had some luck fitting male clothing to her, although solid colors are better than prints. In some cases setting the smoothing type to generic and increasing the smoothing to 19 or higher helped.
The shirt is for a chestier woman. That houndstooth is also pretty unflattering for that chest morph. A solid-colored texture might work better there.
After doing some testing I found that Genesis clothes fitted with Wear Them All are much more likely to work on Amber and Skyler/Rayn. I made a list of some of the Genesis clothes that work the best on the figures. Some of them may need a lot of smoothing. Genesis clothes also work really good on Growing Up for Genesis 3 as well.
