The advertisement for the Single Homes by Dreamland Models says: "Taking the house from a day to night look is as easy as clicking an icon that will turn on all the lights at once for you. There is also an icon to turn them off as well."
I'm wondering whether there's just one single light inside the empty shell of the house so that the only choice is to turn all the lights on at once (aside from putting your own custom light near a window)? I'm not fond of the Kincade electricity- hog look in art. Lights in one or two rooms is a more authentic and intriguing look.

If no-one answers you by the time Iget home, install and try these out, iI'll you know, but I do suspect it's an all or nothing thing.
Thanks, Simon.
No worries - working on it now ...
Also - there is a 'make a road' setting. Does this include a street, curb, etc? I was sortof hoping for an update on the old Poser block series rather than single McManions, but he does quality work.
I'll see what that does in just a sec, but first ... the lighting! The 'single-click' option converts the windows ro be emissive, on a all or nothing basis. However, there are 8 different window material zones so, without having to drop to using the geometry editor you can (using ctrl-click when applying the option select 'selected' instead of 'all) and only apply to individual zones:
The Make A Road option does just that::
This looks awesome!
Thanks SimonJM!
Beaut, Simon! Thanks for the information and for making so many renders!
I'm going to buy it! :D
More than welcome
I'm very interested in this product, too. And I'm glad SimonJM was able to answer your question.
I think the vendor may have been influenced by one or more conversations, here on the forums, where buyers were complaining that specific products came with all the lights on, and no way to turn them off except to hunt through all the materials and find those that were emissive. I think the "all on" and "all off" icons are an improvement over that. But I am really happy to find the windows are broken into 8 material zones. I noticed there are 3 outside lights that are lit with the All On, too. It wouldn't bother me, though, if those are a single zone.
The lamps attached to the hpuse are broekn downb into 'lower' and 'upper' as far as the light emitting is concerned. The lamps themse;ves can be shown or removed via a single click option, though not for shedding light (which may be a bit strange). The street laps have a on'off singlr click option.
I bought these really quickly. I view these as a first step towards his city block style models coming to Daz Studio. If we're really lucky we may get his famous rain puddles and such.
I haven't had a chance to play with them but it looks like you can mix and match the 3 homes along with the different mats and at least make the illusion of a varied neighborhood. Assuming he comes out with more like this, over time this can only get better!
Even with McMansions, I've seen lots of "tract house" neighborhoods where there were a limited number of house "floor plans" and the external differences were in the materials used, as well as the plans being mirrored...
Which makes me wonder, is it possible to mirror these homes by setting Scale to -100%? I reccall a vendor stating that was all one needed to do to put the right-side steering wheel of his car to the left side...
Regardless, I'm really looking forward to using these models. Got my eye on the bundle, and the more we talk about it here, the more I want it now, not later!.
I've got a number of his residential blocks in Poser format, and wasn't looking forward to the chore of extracting the individual houses. I am *very* pleased with this bundle.
