regarding formats to save poses for sale in store or independent web storefront

I am not sure this question is in the correct section but it most closely fit my issue. I am trying to move from just artist to also content creator. i am starting slow (hopefully easy) by doing only poses, original poses. my question is 2 fold. 1, what format do i use to save the poses for upload to the daz store (and if there is a specific file format for the ai assume zip file i need to use) and 2. for sale in an independent web storefront, which i already have for other things, is the same format followed and zip file is used or should i do something dfferent? a little NON judgemental help would be great. i have asked daz directly before and the answer i got back was condescending with absolutely no information to be useful, so i hope someone on here with experience can direct me down the right path. thanks in advance!

Moved to the Commons. A pose preset would be the thing to use, regardless of destination. https://helpdaz.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/207531443-How-do-I-become-a-DAZ-Published-Artist- may help.

thank you, thats what they are currently saved as but i wasn't sure if anything special or additional needed to be done to them or if they had to be filed in specific folders and sub folders.

You should definitely file the poses in the correct location for the character. I would look at some of the daz installers for the current generation of character poses for the correct file structure many folks installing stuff are newbies and will need this degree of help in a commercial product

The file path should look like this

People > Genesis 3 Female > Poses > Product Name

I personally put the Base shape poses in the product folder and if I did V7 versions I would have the Victoria 7 sub folder in the product folder

I have a quick question on poses- when you save as a preset, do they keep the figure or PUT the figure at world center, or is there something needed so the character remains where they are in the scene? I think I've encounter a few that zip the person to world center, but it's been awhile.

You should leave characters at zero and use hip to do translation work.

This is a good guide for saving poses.

A pose should not touch the figure node ("Genesis 3 Fenale") - any movement needed, such as to keep the feet on the gorund or for placement in a group pose, should be done via the Hip bone.
