Using poses on a monster figure...what bones are these?

I'm working with a monster creature figure. I'd like use some pre-made poses as a starting place on it..to then adjust to it. I've done so before on different creatures with decent resuls. But so far, I'm not really getting movement of the figure. (again, it doesn't need to actually take the whole pose, just sort of a helper to get started.)
The picture is the bones of the creature...does this look right, or like a v#/Gen# figure to anyone?

No, that looks like a figure where arms and legs attach diectly to a chest bone. Most humans hae a hip, with the legs attached tot hat or to a pelvis, and upper torso bones attached to the hip before reaching the arms and neck. I'm not sure what you mean by using pre-made poses as a starting point - if this si for distribution/sale you can't use others' work as a shortcut, except where permitted (using the Genesis whatever rigging for clothing/hair, for example).
what creature are you using? does it use a daz base figure as they'll generally can use premade/bought poses most of the time with some exceptions and if it is a custom original well that is harder
Actually I found the problem was with weight mapping. :) Moving right along :)
