Antares ship inspired by anything

I want to use the Antares ship and the control room etc interiors in my video series but I need to know if it was inspired by anything first.

If so I can still use it but look at the movie etc too see how many changes I need to make to significantly alter it to be unrecognisable.

Many products are very inspired and often I am unaware until I see a movie trailer or something, had a few close calls already.

Well, that's a little like proving the null hypothesis, Wendy. But, for what its worth, I don't believe the Antares is exactly like anything else. It is reminiscent of a cross between Battlestar Galactica and the Eagle from Space:1999, but is really not like either. Perhaps someone else has a better match.

Reminds me vaguely of the Imperial cargo transports from the dos X-Wing game. Doesn't look exactly like them of course but has that generic space cargo transport feel.

Some of Petipet's stuff is based on obscure real-life constructions or models from computer games (for instance, they have a missile launcher I discovered was actually from the 'Halo' games). I, too, would be very interested to know if the Antares ship or anything from their recent Dominator series was based on anything or were original designs (though I'm sure that the Antares interiors are all original).

well hopefully with  my grungy retexturing  it will not ring any bells, will be a space pirate ship so will be roughing it up a bit.
