Homo Erectus Clothing

I got HE for m4,v4, and k4.  I like the shapes mats.  My problem is going clothing to fit them.  I'm talking flintstones like.  Any tips.

Morphing Clothes (Rendo) will fit clothing made for the base figure to HE.

Crossdresser (Evilinnocence) will convert clothing from other figures to K4,V4,M4.

There are a few 'Conan-style' wardrobe options in the store,  Plus, looking at the baseline clothing in the Cheyenne Bundle, that looks like it could be adaptable in some fashion ( the V4 dress has a very nice baseline 'hide' look).  You can 'lose' the extra bling pretty easily, or mix and match it.

Plus, if you don't mind editing texture maps, you can tweak the look of the V4 Cheyenne dress pretty easily (lose the intricate fringes at the base of the dress).  You can also use 'hidden parameters' to scale down the skirt length considerably.

Note the leather texture on the dress, and how I y-scaled the skirt length (left and right thigh control this) to mini-skirt length, and how I added a cutout to the dress for the wings and to expose a little skin above the breasts, modifying the supplied black and white texture to add cutout opacity knockouts.  You could just as easily use this texture to add some 'jagged' edges to the dress, so that it's not a smooth cut around the edges.

Removing the sleeves is very easy.  Just hide them!

About the only downside I see here is that sewing wasn't really a skill for Homo Erectus, so you'd probably tie the hide together somewhere using leather string.  Adding that to this outfit could be an interesting challenge, but you may be able to get by well enough by adding some darker colored 'strings' between a cutout somewhere.  There's probably some inspiration to be found by looking at any laced corset textures that you may have in your collection (i.e. how they achieved the 'lace look).

As for the M4 Cheyenne stuff, it might be too civilized (pants in prehistoric times? Yeah right), but since the bundle is less than $2, and since you are getting some other props along the way, yeah it's definitely worth a look.  You might also be able to 'autofit' the V4 dress to M4...

The Cheyenne Bundle clothing is for M4 and V4, so that should already be very close as far as fitting it to your new model.

While homo erectus did not have needles, they were capable of working hides. The most likely ways for them to sew would be to bore holes in the hide and then lace them together with leather or sinew. As far as the M4 Cheyenne clothes go, they have a seperate loin cloth which would be very appropriate. In addition to the Cheyenne bundle, I found a couple of other outfits which may be appropriate.

Feral Rage skirt and javelin look appropriate, top and bracers not so much. Cheyenne Boy has a loin cloth like Cheyenne M4.

Edit: I forgot to mention that if you get https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-generation-x2 you can transfer the morphs and textures to Genesis, which may open up a lot more clothing options.

There's no actual surviving artifacts of what clothing H.erectus would have worn but it was likely just to be a simple hide draped over their body like a cape or pancho.

He said Flintstones like, so I'm half tempted to try to cobble up a Wilma or Betty dress just for fun!

As I said, just for fun...

This used to be the Cheyenne V4 dress.  Wilma is often shown in a white dress, so I lightened the color a lot, but the texture is just hanging on in that render.  She looks more like a grown up Pebbles though...

I didn't have any 'large rough gemstone' necklaces in my library, so I went with the interlocked rings.  If I decide to continue working on this dress, I'll probably roughen up the edges a bit on the bottom of the dress, making the edges a little more ragged, but since this was mainly just for yuks, it's good for now.

I may have a bone in my Daz library somewhere, for the ponytail (Pebbles pretty much always has a bone sticking through her ponytail).

Jimbow, some nice links there.  I'm sure the OP will like those!
