morphs that show genesis 3 female ribs

Hi all,

I'm looking for a package that allows me to show the rib bones on the genesis 3 female figure. Any such morph packs available?

Thanks,

Me

hi, do you mean the ribs below the breasts?  there isn't a lot of geometry there. you might have better results if you used a really good Normal map.

if you have Photoshop or similar, that has layering, you could paint a greyscale map in a layer above the torso template, then create the Normal with the nVidia plugin or by using xNormal

( both are free, and xNormal has many other usefull tools built in )smiley

I was hoping there was a morph pack that could give me that...

There is, but I'm not sure if it's a default one or which pack it's in. Look for one called Emaciated, as that's the only one I know that shows them.

I was thinking along these lines:(see individual ribs, not just the end of the rib cage.

It used to exist for V4... So

    ....too bad there isn't a Genesis -  G2 - G3 update.

  • Couldn't Gen-X be used to bring the morphs up to G3?

...yeah just don't want to make G2 and G3 too "heavy" or otherwise they will take forever to load.

I bought Arabella 7 HD Add-On recently for just such, I say, just such an emergency.

There is a body morph resource kit that I bought recently that has 4 rib morphs in it:

    • Ribcage Tighten 01
    • Ribcage Tighten 02
    • Ribs Define
    • Ribs Skinny

    https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-3-female-body-morph-resource-kit-3

I haven't got a chance to try it out yet, but I bought it for that purpose, the skinny rib look. I bought so much stuff during MM, that I'm behind on testing everthing. I'll try to post a render tomorrow (well actually later today) to see what results I get with it.

Looking forward to the render :)

Here's one test. I'll post another in a little bit. This is using only the rib morphs found in the resource kit mentioned above. It looks a little off to me, so I'll mess around with it some more and see if I can get it looking a little better. But it gives you an idea. Lighting is going to be key to defining them as well. I'll mess with lighting and see if I can improve the look.

Yeh something does look a bit off. Can't quite put my finger on it.

The ribs for Arabella look more realistic.

I don't like Arabella's either honestly. And even then you would have to buy 2 figures, Arabella and the HD upgrade, and there is no separate slider for the ribs. So if you don't like the overall Arabella body shape (and I don't) then you have no way to show the ribs. Someone definitely needs to make a better rib morph or maybe a geograft for skinny ribs.

That collection of lumps isn't even close to an actual human ribcage.

Yeah, to be fair to the PA who makes the Resource Kit that I linked to and used, there's a lot of good morphs in that pack and it's well worth it for the other morphs.I also have other morph resource kits that that PA makes for Gen 2, and I've liked them all, but I think the problem with the ribs is the underlying geometry. So not sure how to get around it.

  • It doesn't look that real because you don't get continuous lines that folow the contours of the ribs, they get interupted by lines that (I guess) are due to muscle tissue overlapping the bones.
