Centaur 7 Armor Sets on G3M Without Horse?
in The Commons
The new armor sets are absolutely stunning. Can they work with G3M? I imagine the horse specific armor parts can't but maybe there are parts that are workable?
If someone could post some renders/screenshots of just how much of these armor sets G3M can wear, that would be awesome. I have a great need for fantasy armor for renders and so far G3M's selections have bene sparse. Getting three different sets of armor in one bundle is a great deal for me... if they're at least somewhat workable on G3M.

I would like to know too
as I know the centaur will almost certainly not work in my softwares of choice the clothing and armour would if on G3M
On my Ravager Centaur set, you can use the upper parts. ie: Chest Piece. Shoulder Plates (L&R). Helmet. Forearm Braces and the Axe
This also means that any G3M clothing or accessories or hair sets you already have in your runtime can be used on the human part of the figure. Eg: Anything made for the top half of the body.
Pretty sure that the upper half can use poses in your runtime too if you just want to post the human part
those hairs are seriously tempting me too and I know they will work
after the dentist tomorrow I may need to look at my finances and hopefully some will post renders of all the bundle contents without the horse bits to sway me.
Related question: will Horse 2 saddles or other accesories work on the body? It looks like they should, but I don't know how much the geograft has changed.
Now that I'm not sure of. I don't have any horse 2 saddles to check unfortunately. But I don't think it would, as the horse is a lot bigger than the centaur.
Here are two images. One shows the zero load positions. And the other, i played with scaling and translation to make an approximate scale to match the horse 2. I think it would be a lot of fiddling to get a saddle or accessory made for the horse 2 to fit the centaur.
Thanks for trying. If it's just a matter of scaling, I can always try and finish the details with VWD, though obviously autofit would have simplified things. I guess I've grown spoiled :)
Sounds like a job for Sickleyield. She always comes in to save the day with this kind of stuff.
Just wondering why a centaur would need a saddle?

So no one has any renders of what the armor looks like on G3M? I'd love to see it before I pull the trigger on this pretty expensive set. Thanks all.
If no one else does, I'll try to do some renders tonight. There are obviously some pieces that won't fit at all towards the back, but will see how some of the lower abdomen pieces fit and post results.
cause some will let you ride if you ask nice (these are not the new Centuar)
Ok, first up a couple things I want to mention. These were loaded on the base Genesis 3 Male, and other than fitting them to the figure, I didn't do anything with morphs or anything else to adjust pieces in the outfits (there are shouder pads clipping into the main outfit for one set, which I didn't catch at the time). These are no a "best possible", this is just how they fit out of the box. They also all say they are designed for the centaur figure, so this isn't a concern or anything, just for reference. With some adjustments with deformers or something I think a few of the concern areas could be improved to fit a human figure. This is just for reference/information only.
Anyway, moving on to the attached renders. For the Kentauros and Ravager outfits, they are pretty clearly defined into "upper" and "lower" sections (the Ravager outfit even comes with presets labeled as such). For the Kentauros, I didn't bother with the saddle part, which clearly would not be following the genesis male body. I did try on the lower section for Ravager, just for fun.
For Cypruss and Empire armor, as they are armor the body pieces bridge the "halves" in single pieces. For Empire the cape is a single material zone. For Cypruss, there are leather straps and metal studs in a shared material zone with the "upper" body piece, so I included a render without any materials hidden so you can see the difference. In both cases from the back it looks like they are standing over a particularly powerful subway grate, as you might expect.
**Also just wanted to add the renders were pretty quick ones, still very grainy, but enough to show fit. Again, see the promo images for an idea of intended use and well lit/posed/rendered images, this is just for quick reference.
creepy
Thanks for all that work @AlmightyQUEST. Answered some questions for me.
My thanks also @almightyquest. That was a pretty awesome service you provided us.
