Figure set up program in daz 4.9
in The Commons
Hello
I was wondering does any one know where I can find any docs on the use of the figure setup system in daz 4.9 at all? I am not interested in any video's. Just a manual of some kind showing how to use it and how to create a figure from scratch using a program like hexagon or other software but creating the figure in daz. I mean just the basic stuff nothing fancy. Just want to keep it simple thats all.
Thanks

I have a couple of step-by-step tutorials on my site. One describes basic joint rigging in DS, and one gives information on using the figure set-up tools to create conforming items. They were written for older versions of DS (up-dated to include instructions for DS 4.7), but the basic information still applies, only thing is I made the assumption that you would already have some basic knowledge of modelling so neither of them covers that aspect instead they pick up from the point of importing your models into DS for rigging. If they would be of help I can give you a link to find them. There is also a list of tutorials and links in the new users forums here on DAZ's site (or there was for the logest time).
Sure no problem would love to take a look at it .
Thanks
Larry
No problem... links to all my tutorials for DAZ can be found on my site here... http://www.schells.ca/newpage Hopefully they'll be helpful. I know there are tuts in the Market here at DAZ as well as in the DAZ Studio Discussion Forum and the New Users forums as well. There are also tutorials to be found on various other sites if you go searching for them.
One word of note though, my tutorials don't cover weight mapping as I'm not familiar with that aspect of figure set-up, so my tutorials tend to focus on what DAZ has termed "Legacy" (Poser-style) rigging (this was a conscious choice on my part so that the things I make will be compatible with both DS and Poser).
