does seeing that so called pink moon require a special location with herbal supplements like Colarado or Amsterdam?
I only saw the usual rock up there in Adelaide.
I heard Utah was supposed to get the best view, maybe the DAZ staff saw it?

I didn't even know about it ;). And I've seen blood red ones, but never pink. Too bad I missed it ;).

i had the same reaction.
turns out, it's not called a pink moon because it looks pink, it's because the flowers--pinks--bloom around this time. :/
who'd have guessed?

Never heard it called a pink moon before. I consider pink moon more of a pale peach color as that has pink shades to it sometimes it can be downright orange. In spring there is also redbud winter (Feb/Mar) , dogwood winter (Mar/Apr), and blackberry winter (Apr/May) too.
well thats confusing downunder then
They are called winters just because they are cold snaps that causes budbreak in those particular plants (as well as other plants too).
its like my grandma planting stocks when its waxing hoping to get double blooms.
Yes, grannies and gramps know what they were talking about much more than I thought with all this old fashioned weather, moon, and plant growing lore.
Wendy, things look better in NSW

nothing in Tasmania either moon was pretty high though and bright either a full or new moon it was
Perhaps you were looking for this? I shot this last night while riding the ferry across the Potomac River from Virginia to Maryland. Just a couple hours shy of full. The camera is a Nikon Coolpix P900 - it's like a small handheld telescope with INCREDIBLE power!!! This is a handheld moon "snapshot". Since everyone was looking for a pink moon, I thought I would make all your wildest dreams come true. <LOL>
Damn! I thought this was a thread about Nick Drake.....
have yet to see a blue moon
Apparently there isn't going to be a blue moon in 2017.
pink kittehs?
