This is listed as a new product. The readme says it was released today, but... no it wasn't... :)

It was showing up as new a few days ago as well, but it's been in the store for ages. SKU is 21732, today's new releases are in the 38xxx range. And while the sku itself doesn't necessarily say much, if you look at the price history, it's had a price ever since recorded history. (Okay, ever since the price history is being recorded. ;))

I bought it back in May 2015; so it is as least that old. And I doubt that I got it when it first came out.

I thought it already had iray support? I rendered it last year, but havent' messed with it recently....

  • Yah, I bought this when it was first released as well. It did have iray support. My only guess is that it didnt sell well originally, was yanked, and updated to try and drive some more sales.

I prefer the original promos. These look grainy to me.

The original one from 2015 did NOT have IRAY support, at least it was not listed on description page or product library (I have a copy of original desciption and product library page from March 2016). Though I did not have installed currently, so I cannot verify again.

You are absolutely correct, I couldve sworn that it was iray... which wasnt around in 2015 (I think), or was it? I cant believe that ive had this model for two years now. It sure dosent seem like its been two years already.

Well, cool! Iray support is new.
