Toga Toga Toga

Anyone know of a good full length, Senatorial type toga for G2M or G3M?  I did a search and everything comes up with the short types.

All I know of is M4 Poser Dynamic togas at Renderosity which can work in Daz with Virtual World Dynamics and much more fiddling than imo it's worth. My solution was to use various pieces of Shiny SheetZ 1 and II combined with clones of Michael 6 and Gianni 6 for G3M from Legacy Shapes and fabric shaders.

I am looking for a decent long toga for years. I heard that it is really difficult to make it for conforming clothes; a dynamic model would be best. xyer0's idea is good, I have the Shiny Sheets and I'll try it! Thank you!

  • Thanks all!  I'll look at Jepe's stuff again.  I do like the Wondersheetz for V7 and V6.  I'd prefer a conforming clothes type piece.  But, we'll see what works.

As a challenge I tried to make one, got a reasonable looking thing in T-pose but it gets all kinds of jacked up when you use the transfer function to fit it and then pose the figure. Also tried dynamic drapes but it falls apart. I guess if you want to render cicero standing stoicly giving a speech, it's cool. If you want a more dynamic pose, it isn't so good.  I can see this would be a challenging thing to get right.

I believe that the Romans did not find togas all that easy to manage - which was part of the point, "I have people to do my running for me".

I could see that. "I'm so important that I don't have to care about practical things like getting dressed by myself going to the bathroom on my own. That's for barbarians!"

Wendy has some Roman style clothing at her freebie site. It's for Genesis, and I don't know if it's exactly what you're looking for. Should be able to use Transfer Utility to bring them foward.
