FilterForge is a great collection of texture generators and filters that are ENORMOUSLY handy as part of the art process. It's also pretty expensive!

 

It's now on sale... some places.

For some reason, I saw a sale price (80% off) on my smart phone... but not on my computer. I'm not sure what the heck is up with that, but I got the upgrade for only $80 (rather than $400)

    Its often on sale at 80%, 70% off, version 5 was the giveaway of the day recently as well - unfortunately I missed it, I have version 4 and can't upgrade from that so don't bother. The upgrades seem to come quite frequently so version  7 may be on its way.

    Yeah I notice a sale like that once in a while.  I'm in the same boat, I have version 4 but I don't think it qualifies to upgrade.  I don't use it that often, so I'm alright with 4 for now.  

    I only bought it because too often scenes and other items would have too low res textures - I still run into that and it's frickin' 2017!  angry
