Why some products are so laggy?

I have some clothes and accessories that when used it creates much lag making impossible to move any bone of the character. There is a easy way to solve this error?

The Smoothing modifier is the usuall reason, turn it off until render

  • Many thanks jestmart!!! laughyes

  • By the way, What is the Smoothing modifier and how does it function?

To answer your question of what it is: The smoothing modifier is D|S's internal collision physics engine. It adjusts the contours of fitted clothes to more closely match the character. Some clothing requires a high value for Collision and Smoothing iterations. The more you have of either, the longer it can take for D|S to do all the calculations it needs to prevent poke-through. There's an interactive setting that really slows things down -- be sure that's off. You control smoothing via the Parameters panel for the article of clothing.

A smoothing modifier tweaks the vertex placement a bit like SubD, but without adding resolution - it can either try to go back to the base shape or just applying a smoothing algorithm to the current shape. A smoothing modifer can also be used to deal with minor poke-through from the undelying character (or another piece of clothing) by setting a collision target in the Mesh Smoothing group of the Parameters pane.
