Anybody know why im getting these halos from my emissive lights? Cool, but not what I need for this particular render.

It looks like the Bloom Filter is turned on.
Ahh yes, that was it. Thanks Fishtales. I dont suppose their is anyway to control bloom filter on a per light basis? The Bloom looks great on my environment but as you can see with that pic, its totally inapropriate for my torches.
You can do it but it takes a lot of time and a lot of trial and error.
Changing the Bloom Filter Threshold up or down and then increasing the light intensity on the lights that you want to show until they show the bloom will do it. After that you will have to adjust the other bloom settings and Tone Mapping for the type of render you want, dark or light. Unfortunately the bloom doesn't show up right away and you will have to wait on the render before deciding what needs changing :)
Hmmm.... Perhaps this is a task I should explore once I have a better card. I think my card is too slow right now to try something like that. Good to know though. Thanks for your help!

I render CPU only as I have a laptop without Nvidia graphics.

Couldn't one pick and choose what gets bloom and what doesn't by doing beauty passes?
Laurie

Using the Canvases on the Nvidia Iray Tab in Render settings.
