What is DSON?

  For as I understand it, it is a standardized file format, also used now in DS (4.5+?), the 'infamous' .duf files in DS. A bit comparable with JSON (for javascript).

  So most content released since a few years for DS is now in this format.

  The DSON-importer is a plug-in for newer versions of Poser, making it possible to import those .duf files (for genesis, genesis2, but NOT genesis3, the latter require more work).

  I think that is correct but the DSON importer for Poser doesn't let you import all .duf files. You need a Poser compantion file as well and not all items come with those.

  Or use D3D's DSON loader script
