Pose Converter G2 to G3 problem ZEV0

I converted the pose files but they do not appear in the content library. Zev0's instructions say to refresh, I did do that and nothing.
I went into windows explorer and looked at the folder where they were saved to and they are there, they just don't appear in DS.
Any one else experience this or know a fix or have ideas?

What pose set was this?
DM's Enchanted Hill from Rendo. The G2F poses. Not sure that I can give the link, so I'll leave it out to be safe.
Did you try and convert the duf or pz2 pose files? Sigh in moments like this I miss Draagonstorm lol. She would normally be able to spot out the problem since she wrote the code.
I directed it to the folder I wanted to convert. Inside that folder are .Duf's and Pz2's but in the convertor window it looks as though it chose the duf's. I have attached a screen shot. I'm also wondering if my directory is ok at the top of the converter, as I wanted to put them in the same directory as the originals just in a diffrent folder which I created. The one that says 'Genesis 3F Conversion. All my content is on E:, not the original C: path. Could it be a directory problem? Do you think it's picky about the destination directory or path?
I did some experimenting again and converted the files and they appear, if..........the directory at the top is pointed to 'C:/Documents/DAZ3D/Studio/My Library/Converted'
Seems it doesn't want the target directory changed. while not the end of the world, it would be nice if it would let us direct to where in DS they would suit us best.
Unless their's something else going on, but they do appear and work with that Path string.
I think the problem is related to poses that are designed to hold objects. When you click on one of the poses, does the flute snap into place? Or is the figure just posed? There have been reports of pose sets that use props to be problematic.
I've read a few programs/plugins behave like this and don't like anywhere else but the c drive even studio itself can be picky I had everything set up to go onto a different larger drive but for some reason a lot of daz content also decided to install on my c drive as well which isn't large but my daz content is think fixed now hopefully
You save them to a Poser format folder. Without a matching dummy pz2 file for each duf file Studio won't be able to see them. Move them to a Studio format folder.
And then there is the general problem with library folders occasionally appearing empty in DS. I experienced it myself the other day, all folders I clicked on were just empty. Then I noticed there was something in the search field so I cleared it and clicked the Search button and voila, everything was normal again.
I have used this product loads of times, and I have never had a problem setting my own destination directory. All the expected files are in the correct destination after running the convert script.
Do this test, click on the path again and make sure its pointing to a sub folder that exists where you want the poses saved. Sometimes people rename or move it but the script is still pointing to where it was last, even if that path no longer exists.
Zev0 if you're still monitoring this thread, I got Pose Builder in the pack with G2 to G3 pose converter a while back and finally went to use it last night. Everything looks great except I can't reach the buttons at the bottom because I can't resize the panel.
I use win10 at 150% text/icons, which I know is the culprit, but is there a way to make the window smaller so the bottom buttons don't end up behind the taskbar?
Thanks :)
Unfortunately the script cannot be resized. Draagonstorm had the source code, and unfortunately she is no longer with us. All I have is an encrypted version of the product. So there is nothing I can do to change it unfortunately.
No prob, it's easy enough to scale down the view temporarily, just thought I'd ask. Thank you for the amazing products!
I'm coming in here to whine while vendor is watching the thread....sorry for piggybacking.
I want to know why there isn't a pose converter for G2M to G3M? as in MALE. I have the one for the females, but am dying to convert some G2M poses. Is that possible? Soon....ish? I want to buy some horse and rider poses that are on sale, but the poses are for G2M.
thanks.
NVRMind....MelanieL answered my plea for help
Is this the product you're talking about: https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-2-to-genesis-3-pose-converter ?
If so, then as the product page Details section states:
OMG, I already own that, and thought it was ONLY for G2F to G3F. I guess I saw the female on the 'box' and only scanned the description at the time I bought it last October! Thank you so much! xoxoxo
Edited to add: I just got the Horse and Rider pose pack since DA store is on Flash Sale but they're for the G2 peeps.
Yes, I've been kind of tempted by that Horse and Rider set, but I already have a few horsey-pose packs so I'm still on the fence on that particular set. I read something in the forums recently about lack of realism in some horse-and-rider poses, but I can't remember which PA's pose set they were criticizing, so I think I'll do a forum search to check before I decide.
At the time this product was released, Genesis 3 Male was still in developement and unreleased. So I couldn't show any male promos, but knew it was compatible with it so best I could do was make mention of it in the description.
I didn't add the flute. I had the converting issue, thought about it, worked it on the other path, converted successfully, then placed in the G3F, applied the arm script and the pose on her to see how it worked out and what the scene looked like and called it a night shortly afterwards. The converted pose was just fine, the arms were just a bit off but your description states some minor adjustments may be needed, it was no pains to bend and add a slight twist and it was just like the original. Worked very well.
I'm sure I'll figure out the path/directory issue. Seems like a nice plug-in, though I had just purchased it that day and didn't have time to convert more pose sets.
Cheers to you and Draagonstorm for making these for us all.
You mean don't save them in the poser content area? Save them instead under Studio Content, e.g, 'People/Genesis 2 Female/Poses/ ?
As far as the pz2, yeah that could be, though I wouldn't have know that. Thanks.
Cool! Glad you got it working.
That is exactly what I meant.
Well, you can only do what you can do at the time. And as long as that pack works for G2M to G3M then I can use it. Thanks!
