Lots of updates to FWSA characters

I noticed a lot of updates to FWSA characters today. Does anyone know why? Thsnk you.

Hmmm...I have a few FWSA characters and including some for Genesis 3 and didn't receive any updates. Without knowing anything about the characters updates you are getting my 1st guess would be is maybe they are getting updates to native iRay texture set formats. Updates to be use with iRay is the most common type of update I've gotten in the past for human and other models too, although some of them I paid for extra.
The update notifications I have for FWSA are for some recent characters...Halina, Sparkle for Mika, Shaya for Mika, Sushimita, etc.
I wonder what they were? I LOVE Shaya just the way she is. I hope they didn't do anything drastic and I can still use previously saved scenes with her...
I have the three first but no updates for these - probably because I haven't downloaded them yet. I do see updates for several other FWSA characters (Agnes, Keira, Narkissa, Shiloh, Tisha).
click on the little i button in Dim it will take you the page for that product and may list what the update is.
Doesn't look like anythings been added as far as what the update is for.
The only change seems to be to the 'dsx' file in the runtime/support folder: this file looks to be an administrative list of what is in the product(??? I'm guessing ???) so nothing major is being changed as far as I can see.
No details of what issues were resolved. I dislike it when there is no information whatsoever.
I have 18 FWSA updates in DIM and 1 FWKJ. Whatever they're doing, they've been busy!
So apparently just a Metadata update.
Good to know since i don't use smart content, connect or DIM.
A related question...Why do the updates generally require downloading the entire character package again?
If you use DIM you download a single zip file which contains the entire package, (DIM unzips it for you during install); so if there is an update which only changes one file you still have to download the entire zip.
If you use Connect it only downloads the files which have actually changed, which means all these updates, for example, only took a few kilobytes to download.
I don't don't use smart content either. I have to many external drive and older content for metadata.. Dang ! I was hoping for some of my old v6 characters to have some new iRAY updates....
The ones that I've seen had an updated lashes morph and metadata updates.
