Are unimesh fits required anymore?

Just wondered, since I normally just let V4 clothing autoconform in Daz Studio. I haven't bothered with any unimesh fits. I was wondering if they are actually needed in the current version of studio for anything.

you'll need them for the generation 4 characters still if you are still using V4 and M4 other wise autofit should take care of everything else for the new genesis1,2,3 characters
"Transfer active morphs" function enables you to have clothes auto-follow morphs even on M4/V4, so they're technically not required.
But custom crafted morphs will usually give you better results than auto-follow.
Thanks! That's what I thought. I skipped buying a lot of unimesh fits for V4. So, I'm glad I didn't bother. The clothes all seem to work fine on G3F.
Unimesh fits in the PC+ collection usually come with a separate texture set for the item. So they are worth it for that.
Yep, I've treated the Unimesh packs more as a texture pack these days...
If you plan to use them on G3F then you don't need the fit morphs.
Just rememeber though if you want to use v4 or m4 clothing on feak 4 , A4 , or Hiro 4 you will need the unimesh fits in order to use them the auto-fit tool does not work for generation 4 figures so unimesh fits are still usefull for the older generations
you can also use Morphing Clothes by D3D,
What is that?
Is that really needed by DAZ or Poser these days?. I am pretty sure the newer versions of both have "Transfer Active Morphs" that moves morphs to conformed clothing even on older models like M4/V4. This software was an aid for older versions of the software, but surely it is redundant now?, or am I missing something.
"Transfer active morphs" function does work on generation 4 figures, it's simply not automatic like for Genesis figures.

I use it for Carrara but prob for most users it may be.
