I thought that seeing as how human nature dictates that the majority of the people with something to say will only be bothered to post when they've got a gripe (and I've probably done my fair share), I'd give the Daz bods a bit of a break from it :)
I've been waiting for six weeks or so for three products to go off the 'New' list so that I could use them in a commercial project that I was prepared to put on the back burner until they were affected by a good sale price, but they weren't part of a sale when they finally lost the tag a couple of days ago. The artist's catalogues had all been featured in March Madness fairly on, when the 'New' tag meant that the products couldn't qualify. This morning's catch-up saw them all in my wishlist with a healthy percentage off and so, after buying a discounted gift card to make the whole transaction even cheaper, I bought them together with two utilities that I'd been on the fence about the other night. The whole lot came to less than the most expensive product in the list had been, even without taking the discount on the gift card into account, and was well worth the wait.
I'm pretty much spent up now unless something exceptional comes along, but I'm suddenly able to do a ton of work that was having to wait and so I'll be too busy now for much in the way of shopping. I just wanted to share the joy, say 'Thanks, I'm happy!' and start a thread where any similarly satisfied users could say so too :)

It's not been the best sale ever, but I managed to get a couple things I wanted. So it's all good. :) I'm pretty happy so far.
I haven't checked out yet, but all the remaining stuff I desperately wanted during the MM sales are in my cart, so even though it's only mid-month, I call this a successful sale. :D
I'm very happy to see stores that hardly ever go on sale showing up with a decent discount. StreetWear (Stonemason's clothing PA account) is one good example. I'm sure there are numerous others too.
Good for you, Astracadia! I, too, was able to clear out my list of must haves (except for those items that are still new but no longer discounted). But half of them will mature before the end of the month; so, I expect the final catchup to clear them out. I'm also hoping Urban Future 5 will be released before March Madness ends. I can't say enough good things about the Daz sales team and PC+ membership.

Ditto. Woke this morning and was like, "oh look, practically everything on my wishlist is on sale... crap".

I was eating double chocolate fudge chip cookies while I made a purchase this morning... So it was an ok experience.
I've only been back into DS and 3D stuff for 4 months after being away for 4 years. So my wishlist had a lot of needed items, that most regulars already had. I cleared out all the must have items and got a lot of extra things too. With the revolving sales Between the PC+ club discount, the sale itself and the extra 10% for bonus buyer, most items were 55% or so cheaper. On quite a few I paid right at 25% of normal cost. So for me it's been a good sales series, but I see how if you've been a regular shopper for the last few years it could have been a bit less exciting.
Now I just hope nothing amazing comes out before the sales end, since I've pretty much went over my budget already.. ;)

I might suggest that if you're a Bonus Buyer and you can find three items above $1 to put in your cart, that a DAZ Gift Card might be a really good deal right now. E.g. 10% off of 10% off is 19% off of gift cards, which is a _solid_ deal by itself. There might be other discounts that are getting applied, so I'd definitely give a try to a gift card if you can afford it. At 19-ish % off it's about the best GC discount you can get from DAZ. And then it applies for the rest of the sale...or as long as it lasts. :)

I love the sales but not my budget. I hate sticking to a strict budget but I have to in order to plan for the future.

There have been some lovely new releases. And with the bonus buyer extra the discounts have been quite nice.
I'm still watching for a number of things over in the Commercial thread, as well as a couple of others, such as the leg morphs from Fabiana which were refered to in a product of hers that I just picked up on Rendo. I remember her Wild Butterfly morphs for V4 which I used quite often. Am really pleased to see that she's doing morph work again. Although the product has yet to be released, and it may not come out during the MM event.
This. Adding the 19% discount to the 55% discount Bonus Buyers get otherwise means everything in the store (except new items that are older than two weeks) is 74% off. Bonus Buyers should ALWAYS use Gift Cards to make purchases, and non-Bonus Buyers should buy the three cheapest New products they want. Then buy the most expensive Gift Card they can afford. Now.
I bought a gift card a few hours ago with two still mad items. The final discount was calculated at 25% + 10% MMBB discount netting about 32.49% off. That's like sombody handing you "Free" money if youi are able to take advantage of the offer..
Well I'm whining!!
I don't usually spend much during MM, but there have been some deals on stuff that I couldn't pass on this time. So I've spent more than anticipated already. Now I'm hoping things get a little less mad (or maybe just a lot of stuff I'm not that interested in would be good too).
Last year's March Madness started about the same time as last year and ended on Tuesday, April 12th so hang tight to those remaining dollars!
Well it opened up with a bang with his & her Manhattan professional clothing and the police clothing and I nearly bit on the gypsy and peasant clothing too but the discount was only pennies. I will buy the gypsy & peasant dresses at full PC+ price later incase any products that don't get made as frequently come along this month.
Dang, I wish I'd figured this out sooner. Could have easily saved some cash (and by "saved" I mean bought even more stuff than I did).

Yep, my whole wishlist is on sale too, but I only have 44 cents in store credit and $5 in the bank, so I will have to pass on the rest of March Madness. I did get a lot of nice stuff though.
My bank account is whining! It's been tortured lately, and my runtime is full to bursting. Got a ton of awesome stuff yesterday that rarely goes on sale, but forgot about the street wear that Redz mentioned. Maybe next time.
Strangely, my wishlist seems to keep getting bigger and not smaller!
...did manage to pick up a few much wanted items including both the second and third edition of Mec4D's Iray PBR shaders. Could get the Horse2 Pro Bundle for 6$ and change (with PC+ coupon) though already have the base horse 2 figure and English Saddle which I need for my story.. Waiting to see if there will be any forthcoming G3 Figure deals.

TBH, other than Daz's decission to add DRM to Studio, there is very little worthy of a good whine.
They do lots of stuff about right.
The vehicle sale did me in. And I only found $1.36 under the cushions on the couch. Looks like a diet of veggie soup for the rest of the month, with the 5 for $5 frozen veg packs.
My problem is I already own most of the older content, so I look at MM sales as a good oppertunity to get the latest content at reasonable prices. So that is why I changed my atttude towardss March maddess. I also noticed the best deals usually come after you bought a new releases first and then everything else becomes much cheaper .. . which i have bought a ton of { walks away in to the credit card hall of shame}.
LOL I only have 16 items in my wishlist and none are on sale. I think I have spent less than $100 over the last year and it has really paid off!! With a lack of support for G2 unless it is a clothing set for G2 that will autofit well or a vehicle, I don't even bother looking. And with a record number of models coming out for G3 ... I call this a Win/Win for me.
My wife thanks you for the trip to Vegas my lack of spending is paying for this year.
I must have the wrong wishlist then. Of my 162 items, only 14 are on sale in their own right, and another 13 on sale by being new.
